DON'T FORGET THIS IS ON NEXT TUESDAY 9 JUNE!

Melton families and carers of a child with disability or developmental delay are invited to join us at a FREE family fun event at Zebraland on Tuesday 9 June at 10am.

At Pinarc we know that sometimes it can be difficult for families impacted by disability to have the opportunity to engage and connect with others at community events. These Pinarc family events will provide an environment for children to have fun in a relaxed environment and play with other children with similar abilities or interests, whilst parents and carers can connect with others.

Come along and catch up with some of our team of therapists who will be there for a chat and a play! Snacks will be provided! You do not need to be a Pinarc customer to attend this event.

Call our friendly admin team to register on 1800 746 272 or send them an email on [email protected]

We’re delighted to introduce Holly, an experienced Occupational Therapist with 10 years in practice, specialising in early childhood and paediatric key worker support, who has recently joined our team in Ballarat

Holly brings a family-centred, neuro-affirming approach to her work, supporting children with sensory regulation, executive functioning, daily living skills and social participation. She is passionate about building strong, trusting relationships with families and ensuring therapy is guided by what matters most to them, helping families feel heard, empowered and supported every step of the way.

When she's not thinking about sensory diets and NDIS goals, Holly enjoys travel and celebrating special occasions with the people she loves!

We currently have a very short wait list for paediatric OT. Our easy self-referral form is available on our website https://www.pinarc.org.au/services/overview-of-services/

✅ Support for children with speech sound errors including stuttering, lisps and children whose speech is very hard to understand by familiar listeners.

Pinarc offers a coaching based model of therapy which supports family members involvement in all aspects of therapy to help them develop their own skills to be able to support their child to work on their communication skills outside of direct therapy services.

Pride Month is an opportunity to celebrate the many contributions that LGBTIQA+ individuals have made to our country's cultural, social, and economic fabric.

It is a time to celebrate diversity and promote inclusion, not just within the LGBTIQA+ community, but across Australian society as a whole.

So, whether you're a member of the LGBTIQA+ community or simply an ally looking to show your support, we hope you'll join us in celebrating Pride Month this year.

This year's NRW theme is a call for all Australians to commit to reconciliation every single day.

The theme makes clear that all of us must take action to make change.

The theme also reminds us that reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people, who have carried the weight of championing, explaining and acting for far too long.

Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us. We all have a role to play when it comes to reconciliation, and in playing our part we collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.

The campaign was created in collaboration with Carbon Creative, a First Nations-owned and operated marketing and creative agency.

The artwork for this campaign, called Gaagal, is by renowned Gumbaynggirr Bundjalung artist Otis Hope Carey, who applied his distinctive style to create a colourful and optimistic visual representation of people from all walks of life being ‘all in’ to make change.

On Sunday 17 May we were delighted to host a fantastic group of Parents and Carers at our Support for Carers Lunch & Movie event. The group enjoyed lunch at Town & Country Pizza & Pasta before heading to to watch "The Devil Wears Prada 2". By all accounts there was a lot of fun and laughter as the group enjoyed an afternoon of respite and relaxation.

If you are a parent carer of a child or adult with disability and are looking for information or extra support please get in touch with Rebecca Paton on [email protected] or 0493 765 542.
