ππΏ Throwback to one of my very first bee inspections on my own of my two hives.
What started as a little part-time hobby on my property was never meant to become what it is today.
Back then, I was simply fascinated by bees and wanted to learn more about these incredible little creatures. Fast forward to today, and my two hives are still teaching me patience, resilience, and the importance of working with nature, not against it.
Theyβve also taught me that bees can get real spicyβ¦ real quick! π
π and that super can get real heavy! π³
There have been highs and lows. Moments where Iβve declared, βThatβs it, Iβm done!β and other days where learning a completely new skill in my 50s feels like one of the best decisions Iβve ever made.
Not only do I get the reward of beautiful honey, but the endless work these little pollinators do for my fruit trees, veggie patch, and the environment around me is something I never take for granted.
Funny how a simple hobby can become such an important part of your life. πππΏπ
