✨ Let’s talk about gifts… and the guilt we carry with them ✨
Have you ever held onto something… not because you love it,
but because someone gave it to you?
A mug.
A decoration.
A piece of clothing that’s not quite “you.”
And every time you see it, you feel that little tug…
👉 “I can’t get rid of this… it was a gift.”
But here’s something gentle to consider:
💭 The purpose of a gift is to bless you, not burden you!
The moment it was given,
it fulfilled its purpose.
You don’t need to hold onto it out of guilt.
You don’t need to make space for something that doesn’t serve your life now.
Keeping it won’t prove your love.
Keeping it won’t honour the person more.
✨ But choosing peace in your home?
✨ Creating space for what truly supports your life?
That matters.
You are allowed to:
✔️ Appreciate the thought
✔️ Be grateful for the giver
✔️ And still let the item go
Because your home should feel like a sanctuary…
not a storage unit for obligation.
💗 Release the guilt. Keep the love. Let go of the rest.
