WOMENāS CIRCLE | I NEED YOUR INPUT ā¤ļø
Hello beautiful women,
Iām starting to think about bringing Womenās Circle back in September, and before I make any decisions, Iād really love your input.
Iām not quite ready to offer in-person sessions or events just yet. Iām still waiting on the results of some recent testing before deciding what reopening more broadly will look like.
Womenās Circle is the first offering Iām considering bringing back, and I need to work out where our circles will be held moving forward.
On Friday, I shared this with the women in our private Womenās Circle Facebook group, and on Saturday, with my email contacts and subscribers. Today, Iām opening the conversation up here.
If youāve already commented in the private group or responded to the email poll, thank you. If you havenāt, please do, or at least share your thoughts here on this post.
There have recently been some changes to the Boat Clubās hire conditions, which means Iām reconsidering whether it remains the right home for our circles.
Thereās a huge amount of work that goes into creating these gatherings beyond the two hours we spend together, from planning and preparation to sourcing materials, creating activities and ceremony, transporting everything, setup and pack-down.
I could throw a few cushions on my lounge-room floor, serve you cuppas and biccies for an hour, but you all know me well enough by now to know thatās not how I roll!
I love creating these gatherings. I love making each one different. And I donāt want to strip them back into something theyāre not simply to fit the requirements of a particular venue.
So Iād love to know what you would actually attend.
1: BOAT CLUB
Stay at the Macleay Island Boat Club. Itās a beautiful location and has been home to our circles since January 2025, although the new hire conditions make continuing there unsustainable.
2: PROGRESS HALL
Stay on Macleay but move to the Progress Hall. Itās closer to the ferry terminal, making it easier for our mainland friends to access. There would be a slight increase in price, and to make the circles sustainable, there would need to be a minimum number of women attending for each circle to go ahead.
3: MAINLAND
Move Womenās Circle to a suitable mainland venue, making circles and other events more accessible to women who donāt necessarily want to travel over to the island. This option would come with a price increase.
4: ISLAND & MAINLAND
It doesnāt need to be either/or. We could continue having circles on the island while also offering circles, gatherings and other events on the mainland.
5: OTHER
Is there another option, venue or idea I havenāt considered? Tell me!
Please pop your number 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 in the comments.
And if you have more to say, Iād genuinely love to hear it.
What matters most to you when deciding whether youād attend?
Location?
Days/times?
Accessibility?
Price?
Whatās included?
The overall experience?
Please also let me know if youād prefer a particular weekday or weekend day for these to be held, as well as times youād prefer, eg: morning or evening.
Please donāt worry about offending me with your suggestions. Iām asking because I genuinely want to know what works for you.
Even something as simple as ā4. Iād love both island and mainland optionsā is helpful.
Iād particularly love to hear from the women who have attended my circles or events with me already, as well as women who have followed along and thought about coming but havenāt quite made it to one yet.
As I think about reopening and what the next chapter looks like, I want the women who are part of this community, and those who might like to be in the future, to have a voice in what comes next.
Thank you, beautiful women.
