We’ve been waiting to share this one. ✨

On Saturday 24th of October, Reiki + Sound is leaving the studio and heading somewhere truly special.

WILD + SACRED is an intimate afternoon of Sound • Reiki • Horses • Nature • Moon on a beautiful property in Sawyers Gully, surrounded by open countryside and the grounding presence of horses.

Settle onto your mat beneath the open sky as drums, gongs, crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes and guitar move through the paddock, woven together with Reiki energy healing.

Listen to the instruments. Feel the earth beneath you. Hear the horses around you as they respond to the sounds and frequencies. Slow down, breathe and reconnect.

Held in the lead-up to the Aries Full Moon, we’ll work with its energy to support release... letting go of what is holding you back and reconnecting with the courageous, fearless parts of yourself.

Why was the heart left inside the body? 🫀✨

During mummification, the Ancient Egyptians often removed several internal organs and preserved them separately, but the heart was usually left inside the body.

Why???
Because to the Ancient Egyptians, the heart (the Ib) was far more than a physical organ.

It was believed to be the centre of a person’s thoughts, memories, emotions, character and conscience. In many ways, it held the essence of who they were.

And they would need it after death.

During the journey through the Duat, the deceased would face the Weighing of the Heart, where their heart was weighed against the feather of Ma’at… representing truth, balance and cosmic order.

If the heart was found to be in balance with Ma’at, the deceased could continue their journey into the afterlife.

This is also why heart scarab amulets became so important in Egyptian funerary practices. They could be placed with the deceased and were associated with protecting the heart during judgement.

The brain, meanwhile, did not hold the same spiritual importance and was commonly removed during mummification.

For the Ancient Egyptians, the part of you that remembered, felt, thought and revealed your true character wasn’t found in the mind.

It lived within the heart 🫶🏻

✨ Healing doesn’t always have to be serious!

Healing can be deep. It can be emotional. It can bring things to the surface that we’re ready to acknowledge, process and release.

But healing can also look like laughing, playing, connecting, resting and experiencing joy. 🤩

I think sometimes we put so much pressure on ourselves to heal that healing itself starts to feel like another job.

Another thing to work on.
Another part of ourselves to analyse.
Another version of ourselves we think we need to become.

But sometimes healing is simply giving yourself permission to soften.

To lie down and listen to beautiful sounds.
To breathe.
To laugh.
To feel safe enough to be completely yourself.
To spend an hour where absolutely nothing is expected of you.

The spaces I create aren’t about being perfectly still, perfectly spiritual or having some huge transformational experience!

They’re about meeting yourself exactly where you are.

Some days that might mean releasing something heavy.
Other days, it might simply mean leaving feeling a little lighter than when you arrived.

Healing can be sacred AND joyful.
There is space for both. ✨✌🏻

✨ Can animals connect with us from beyond?

The grief of losing an animal companion can be incredibly deep.

They aren’t just a pet! They are family. They share our homes, our routines, our happiest moments and some of our hardest ones. Their presence becomes woven into everyday life, which can make their absence feel enormous when they pass.

So, can animals connect with us from Spirit?

Within my mediumship practice, yes! Animals can absolutely communicate too. 🐾

Sometimes they present alongside a loved one in Spirit. Other times, I may become aware of an animal independently.

Just like people, they can bring forward information that helps their person recognise them..: their appearance, personality, behaviours, little quirks, memories or the relationship they shared with you.

And sometimes their presence itself is the message.

A reminder of the love, companionship and comfort that existed between you.

You may also have moments outside of a reading that make you think of them… a familiar sound, a vivid dream, suddenly feeling their presence, or simply having a memory arrive unexpectedly.

Whether you interpret those moments spiritually or simply as the continuing impact of a deeply loved companion, the relationship mattered.

Love doesn’t become less significant simply because it was shared with an animal.

Sometimes the smallest paws leave the biggest imprint. 🐾💜✨
