Thousands of years ago, our ancestors spoke to the unseen.
And hundreds of years ago, this became the very thing that would have them killed.

To speak to spirits in nature, to leave offerings to the dead, to talk to plants for guidance on healing, divination and fortune telling, using charms, amulets, sigils.

Instead of questioning, we became the blamed.
Blamed for livestock and people dying.
Blamed for famine and plague.
Accused for doing curses when ill luck fell upon others.

The healers in our lineage became quiet, fearing for their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Becoming ashamed, silenced and outcast. This wasn’t central to one place, this was happening (and still is) all around the world.

So who were the healers in your lineage? How do I know who they were and what they did?

Let me ask you this, have you ever felt drawn to, or had a gift. Maybe you can see the future. Or feel drawn to the healing properties of plants without knowing why. Do you know when something is medically wrong with a person? Do people become emotional around you and can share what they carry deep within their souls?

There is a high likelihood of a remembrance through your past lineage. One of your forgotten ancestors carried the gifts you now carry. It was always known that knowledge and wisdom was passed through the bloodline, but now has become forgotten. You can remember those in your lineage, by reconnecting to what it is you feel called to do.

Is there a gift you have you want to share with the world?

Through my own journey of healing the Mother Wound, it took me into a deeper journey of understanding lineage, and the memories of the women before me.

Our womb is a revered and powerful portal, that once, many people worshipped.
And now, it’s a portal forgotten.

The women before us were honoured, even idolized and immortalised through painting, carving, ceramics. Rituals and ceremonies were held, now lost.

It draws an ache inside, ancient and other worldly. Sometimes it becomes a loneliness and grief, hard to understand, and sometimes softly lingers under the surface, becoming a part of you.

If you long to follow that thread of remembrance, join me with Healing the Wild Mother. A 4 week journey where we explore the mother wound and the mothers before us.

🌀 Healing the Wild Mother 🌀

A four-week journey through the mother wound, the maternal line & the Wild Mother within.

My mother wound has been a deep part of my life since before I was even born. The stories before me, the pain, suffering and grief of the women who came before me, have often felt too much to bear.

But through some of my greatest pain came purpose, and I’m honoured to finally share with you my four-week online journey, Healing the Wild Mother.

Week 1 - The Women Who Came Before Us
Here we journey into our ancestral stories, the circumstances that shaped women’s lives and the memories that can live deep within us. Through storytelling, history and ancestral reflection, we take a step back in time towards the mothers who came before us.

Week 2 - Embodying the Archetypal & Animal Mother
We begin to explore the primal and instinctual places within the mother wound, giving space to what has been left unspoken, unfelt or unexpressed. We journey into the wilder places within ourselves and find relationship with the instinctual animal Mother.

Week 3 - Returning to the Sacred Mother
Through folklore, mythology, legend and goddess, we explore the Mother as creator, protector, nurturer and destroyer. Here we journey through the mythic landscape of Mother and the many forms she has taken across story and time.

Week 4 - Returning to the Wild Mother Within
We bring the journey home, exploring the inner Mother through nurture, boundaries, protection, tenderness and expression, before closing our four weeks together through ritual and integration.

This journey is for the daughter who yearns to understand the mother wound through something deeper. To follow the maternal line, give space to grief and rage, reconnect with instinct, wander through the old stories of Mother and begin discovering the Wild Mother within.

We begin Thursday 15 October at 4pm Perth/Bali time and meet every Thursday for four weeks.

Payment plans are available.

Bookings are now open. Link in bio or head to www.ancestralschool.com/wildmother

I never thought I could begin the journey so long ago. It tore me apart in so many ways that I needed space to breathe.

But what I found through the shame, the guilt and the pain, was that there was an underlying wave of support, strength and resilience. It was waves of hope that pushed me like a gentle current to the shoreline, so I could paddle out again.

But every breakthrough, every tear, audible grief and responses to the depths of what I felt, and everyone before me, felt like unleashing power that no longer had a hold on me.

Start simple. Start with reflections and writings. Journeying doesn’t have to be deep. Start in the shallows until you are ready to wade into deeper waters and trust the current of your ancestors will hold you when you go under, they will lift you, again and again.

My earrings have always been complimented, but I’ve never quite shared.

They come from the T’boli tribe of the Phillipines, a country where my people are from. And this is the work of the dreamweavers. The spirit of abacá - Fu Dalu, may come to women in their dreams in a human or animal form, and then, it is interpreted into textile. It can take many months and the community is involved during this channelled process. So sacred that men must abstain from intimacy with their wives until the process is complete.

The process of weaving is next on my path to connecting with my maternal ancestors. This year I’ve been deepening my practice with ceramics in the form of pottery, as in my ancestors come from a region called Ilocos, where ceramics and textiles were a large part of ancestral tradition.

Reconnecting with lineage doesn’t have to be grandiose. Honouring a time forgotten tradition, telling stories, wearing textiles or jewellery…And if you don’t have access, Be the access. Find ways you can make things for yourself. This is the path of reconnection.

Today, I am finally ready to introduce, ASHA.

Ancestral School of Healing Arts.

For years, many of you have known me through the Inherited Release Method, a body of work I created, taught and shared with practitioners around the world.
IRM remains part of my work and part of this story.

Over time, my work has continued to grow, evolved, and it always was more than just the Inherited Release Method.

My studies have always been a bridge of the past emerging modern ways of ancestral healing, elemental and shamanic bodywork, energetic practices, lineage, feminine traditions, intuitive development, ritual, folklore & mythology, remembrance and the many ways our histories continue to live within us.

I needed a home spacious enough to hold all of it.

ASHA is that home.

A place for ancestral wisdom, healing arts, practitioner education, courses, gatherings and the continued evolution of the work I have spent years developing.

You will see things changing here over the coming weeks.

My wintering journey has surrounded me in a chrysalis, waiting for the right time to emerge. And in this time, ive been able to evolve IRM into an Ancestral Healing Arts training, Elemental bodywork working with ancestors of earth, and Veilwork, working with everything in the unseen.

For those who have been part of IRM, you are still very much part of this story.

And for those arriving now, welcome to ASHA.

As we embrace this full moon energy, an invitation awaits.

Without reading, without researching, observe how you feel with the wholeness of this lunar phase.
Name what you feel, as an emotion, a sensation, a texture.
Write down the date, the time, and on either side of the peak of this full moon, write down the nuances, the subtleties, the softly lingering presence of something you might just need to sit with.
What feels the loudest, how it shows up in your body, and what you require to embody this energy.

This is a major way in which we connect wholly with everything around us. It sharpens our intuition; around the energetic shifts and patterns, that no matter what phase the moon is in; we understand without seeing, without reading something regurgitated, but by actually receiving, personally, with your whole body and field.

And with no judgement, tell me below, what is showing up for you right now?
