Mabo day
The 3rd June marks a significant milestone in Australian history. The High Court’s Mabo decision recognised the traditional rights, custodianship and connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to their traditional land. Let’s celebrate this important step towards reconciliation.

Possessiveness or control is not a sign of a healthy relationship.

Coercive control is a pattern of behaviour by a perpetrator to cause harm and maintain control over someone. The behaviours can be subtle, manipulative, individually targeted and tailored to the victim-survivor.

Coercive control is family and domestic violence and it’s important to recognise the warning signs. If you think you might be experiencing coercive control, you should know that:
• Controlling behaviour is not OK.
• Controlling behaviour is family and domestic violence.
• It is not your fault.
• You are not alone.

World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue Development

🌍 The 21st of May is World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue Development. Today we celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that make our global and local communities so vibrant!

Across Australia we are incredibly fortunate to live alongside so many diverse backgrounds, stories, and traditions. Our differences are our greatest strength, bringing fresh perspectives, incredible food, and deep connections.

How are you embracing diversity today? Have a meaningful conversation with someone from a different background, try a new cultural dish, or learn a new phrase!

Let's continue to build bridges through understanding and mutual respect. ❤️
