One of the quiet lessons of healing is realising that being misunderstood doesn't mean you're doing something wrong.

It often means you've stopped explaining yourself into exhaustion.

Stopped shrinking to stay connected.
Stopped choosing harmony at the cost of your own nervous system.

When you begin to live in a way that feels true, some people won't recognise you anymore.

They may question your choices.
Your boundaries.
Your distance.
Your calm.

That doesn't mean you've changed for the worse. It usually means you've changed for yourself.

You're allowed to outgrow the version of you that was easy to access.

You're allowed to choose peace over approval.
And you don't owe anyone an explanation for the life you're finally learning to live from the inside out.
