Mago Menla Integrative Sound Therapy:

Sound is one of the oldest healing methods known to mankind, it impacts on many dimensions of our being and is part of the esoteric teachings of many ancient traditions. In these times of stress and uncertainty Integrative Sound Therapy provides relief, re-connection and vision, a peaceful break that allows turning deeply inward. Integrative Sound Therapy is a multidisciplinary approach to sound therapy and part of emerging contemporary holistic healing modalities. Breathing practices, meditation and sound are the foundation of this particular modality, supported by gentle massage and energy healing. A powerful practice that works with both our physical body and inner dimensions of our being towards a greater sense of wholeness. In the sessions we first establish a safe place of nurture and grounded awareness, within the heart space of the present moment. We then further harmonize the physical, emotional and psychological dimensions of our being. Guided by ancient chant and instruments we go into a place of deep listening and relaxation and we receive healing, vision and purpose from within. Among the other healing sounds, potent didgeridoo play infuses and carries this particular modality and stimulates the movement and harmonization of energies on the cellular and subtle body level. The initial session will mostly be one of deep embrace and re-connection with more subtle and intuitive aspects of ourselves. The practitioner guides and facilitates for you to entirely relax, self-heal and self-discover. Integrative Sound Therapy is a profound healing experience and a support on our journey for purpose. It can also be an excellent support to other holistic treatments and be beneficial when battling a variety of medical problems. It’s not a replacement for conventional diagnosis and treatment.

So epic, it’s was 25 year ago that the 5 of us hung out all together. It was at the Ruigoord Didgeidoo festival in Amsterdam 👣🌀

So many good memories with these legends and so cool to hang out with them again in one place 🫶🏻

Contemporary Didjeridu pioneer and the Frank Zappa of Didjeridu Charlie Mc Mahon, another living didje legend, the Jonny Cash of Didjeridu, Yamitji man Mark Atkins, my didje bro Kc Jay who ran the Amsterdam Didjeridu
Shop while I had the shop in the South of Holland and my heart bro Martin Habets who was alway around to help out and support events, host didje players and whatever was needed to get s**t done ✔️ 🔥

Without these guys and specially the two old fellas I would have not been where I am in my life now and not do what I do with Didjeridu…. Big gratitude for these deadly men 🙏

A thank you to my son, who took a few pictures during last Sundays “Sound Symbiosis” with Francis Swindells 🫶🏻

Sharing a bit of the beautiful energy and sonic experience in the space, it was a dynamic experience, moving between gentle and spacious to intensely immersive 🌀

We look forward to do more of these that’s for sure, and explore more of this weaving of my didje dynamics, chants & other sound work with Francis’s gong magic 🎶

So it’s super cool that this collaboration, which we had the idea for a long while ago is finally happening 🌀

So next months Heart Collaborations on 25 October is gonna be a real special treat 🫶🏻

Fully dedicated as a devotional offering to the great Indian Mahasiddha Padmasambhava….. 🕉️

Songs, sound immersion, mantras and prayers are woven through a telling of the story of this ancient great yogi 🧘

I really can’t wait to bring this experience, that’s lays close at both our hearts, to the community together with Chris…

After all these years, each time it’s still exciting to connect with a new group of men and make this journey of didje, breath & connection…..🎶🧘🌀

To see the benefits many get from playing this hollow log, in regards wellbeing, mental health and even physical health keeps blowing me away 🌿🔥👣

I feel super grateful to be in this position to share my personal journey with the instrument and teach it in a contemporary way with a great focus on self-care and connection and immensely grateful for the ongoing support and guidance of my own mentors 🫶🏻🍃

We were really happy with ourselves…
A debrief with 1 cold b**r 🍻
And we concluded that:

It worked out well….✅
The sound was pretty good…✅
We struck a right balance…✅
And most important we had some great feedback from some people and some great suggestions too ✅
And we will definitely do this again ✅

So our first Sound Symbiosis was definitely a success, there is some fine tuning to do and a few more sessions till we reach that point of feeling each other as we do our instruments….

And luckily that just means do more of these together and grow together into this new sonic experience we created…
I love this man as a dear friend and am really happy that we got our lithe duo project to take out into the world….

And very important, a huge thanks to all that came out today to our premiere session….you are all very much appreciated….. with deep gratitude 🙏
