On behalf of our Brisbane North Team, we wanted to share something important with you following the tragic passing of our dear friend and former colleague, Jodi Doe.

Jodi was a much-loved member of our Brisbane North and Caboolture team from 2019–2024. Although she went on to continue her career with Velan Health, she remained very much connected to our team and to the many people she had come to know and care about over the years.

Jodi’s family have asked us to pass the below message and link on as widely as possible, so that everyone who knew and loved Jodi has the opportunity to be part of this special tribute to her.

Jodi was someone who brought so much warmth, kindness and joy to the people around her. She made a lasting impact on so many lives, and we know there will be many people across our team and wider network who will want to take this opportunity to honour her memory.

Tonight, Ariana Doolan MP, Member for Pumicestone, will honour Jodi during her adjournment speech in Parliament.

What an incredible moment for Dovida Brisbane North & Caboolture! ❤️🎉

We are absolutely thrilled and incredibly proud to announce that we have been named Dovida Queensland Office of the Year 2026 - for the SECOND YEAR RUNNING! 🏆🏆

And the celebrations don’t stop there… our wonderful Rona has been crowned Queensland Caregiver of the Year 2026, meaning our team has now also proudly held the Caregiver of the Year title for TWO YEARS RUNNING! 👑❤️

To hold both of these prestigious Queensland titles back-to-back is an extraordinary achievement and one that means so much to us. It is a reflection of the incredible people who make up our Dovida Brisbane North & Caboolture family and the care, compassion and heart they bring to what they do every single day.

Rona is the perfect example of this. She is warm, compassionate, reliable and completely devoted to her clients, bringing not only exceptional care but joy, dignity and genuine connection into their lives. We could not be prouder to see her recognised as Queensland Caregiver of the Year! 🌷

We have some wet weather approaching. Please stay safe everyone.

Here at Dovida Brisbane North and Caboolture we have Caregivers available to assist you prepare your homes ( collecting and positioning sandbags; tying things down; preparing the yard; ; stocking up with a trip to the shops; transport you to loved ones home if you'd feel safer there; or even accompanying you to the movies to take your mind off things.

UPDATE: The Bureau of Meteorology has advised that the threat of heavy rainfall has passed. Our sandbag stations will stay open until Monday as a great chance to stock up and get prepared for severe weather season.

☔ With heavy rain forecast over the next few days, now is a good time to pick up sandbags if you live in a flood‑prone area.

Sandbags can help slow water from entering your home and protect drains from storm surges. While they won’t stop floodwaters entirely, correctly filled and placed bags can reduce the amount of water that reaches your property. 🏠

The State Emergency Service (SES) may be able to assist residents who are physically unable to collect sandbags due to age, illness, or other limitations. Call 132 500 if you need support. 📞

If you’re visiting a Council sandbag station, please bring your own shovel as you will need to fill your own bags.

Take only what you need, lend a hand to your neighbours, and stay calm - we'll bring new supply when available so everyone can get what they need. 🏠⛈️
