Our Australia Zoo Day on Friday 23rd October is cancelled because of heavy rain and bad weather. Sorry, everyone. We know a lot of you were looking forward to seeing the crocs and koalas!

Snack-up Something Tasty: Frozen Yoghurt Berry Bark!

Six ingredients, no oven, and the freezer does most of the work. A cool snack for the warmer weather that's on its way, swipe across for the recipe.

It's an easy one to make with your Support Worker or on your own – and everyone can help with the scattering.

Tip: Use whatever berries you've got in the freezer, and leave out the coconut or pumpkin seeds if they don't suit you.

We've laced up for Run for Autism this October!

All month, the FITCare team is clocking up kilometres to raise funds for Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect). The money goes towards autism assessments, autism-specific education and research into the mental health of Autistic people.

You don't need to be a runner to be part of it. Walk, roll, wheel or jog, at your own pace, wherever suits you. If you'd like to get moving with us this month, have a chat with your support worker about heading out together.

Client Spotlight!

Meet Roger aka Rog! You'll often find him lining up a shot at the pool table on a Friday morning at our weekly coffee-catchup and frequently attends the FITCare monthly BBQ.

Recently Roger returned home visiting New Zealand with Support Worker Mitch, seeing family, friends and exploring the countryside and all its beauty in an RV.

We love seeing Roger get out and about doing what he enjoys. Thanks for letting us share a bit of your story!

Cook-up Something Tasty: Chicken & Veggie Pasta Bake!

This one's a winner for a weeknight – it's filling, packed with veggies and makes enough for leftovers. A great one to cook with your Support Worker, or have a go on your own.

Tip: Swap the chicken for a tin of chickpeas for a vegetarian version, and freeze a couple of portions for easy lunches later in the week.
