🌟 Meet Michelle – Occupational Therapist! 🌟
We’re excited to welcome Michelle to the Ascend Allied Health team! 🙌 Some of you may recognise Michelle, as she recently completed her final university placement with us at Ascend before officially joining the team!
Michelle graduated as an Occupational Therapist in 2026 and, having grown up and raised her family on the Fraser Coast, she has a strong connection to our local community. She is passionate about helping people participate more independently and confidently in the activities that matter to them. 💚
Michelle takes a practical, collaborative and person-centred approach, working alongside clients to find solutions that support independence, safety and quality of life.
Michelle has a particular interest in supporting adults and older adults across a range of areas, including:

🔹 Home modifications
🔹 Functional assessments
🔹 Supporting independence in everyday activities
🔹 Community participation
🔹 Inclusion and accessibility
Through her longstanding involvement with blind and vision-impaired lawn bowls, Michelle has developed a strong passion for inclusion and community participation. She understands how the right support, environment and equipment can help people stay connected to the activities and communities they value. 🎳
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys travelling, spending time with her family and continuing her involvement in blind lawn bowls. Having grown up and raised her four children on the Fraser Coast, Michelle is proud to now be supporting the community she calls home. 🏡💚
