At YOU Queensland, our staff bring their own unique experiences, skills and personalities to their roles, but they all share a genuine commitment to supporting people with disability to live life their way.

From our team of Home and Community Support Workers, who are there to support participants with everyday activities, personal care, community participation and building independence, to our Employment Support Specialists, who help participants explore their strengths, develop skills and work towards employment and education goals, every team member plays an important role.

Our team also delivers NDIS Employment-related Assessment and Counselling, providing participants with personalised assessment, counselling, and advice to assist them in understanding their options and developing plans for their future.

What makes our team special is the relationships they build. They take the time to listen, understand what matters to each participant and provide support that is individual, respectful and empowering.

Meet Kelly and Sara! 👋🎉

Kelly and Sara are the Directors of YOU Queensland and have built the organisation together around a shared belief that people deserve support that is genuine, individualised and focused on what matters to them.

Both remain actively involved in working directly with participants. Kelly provides counselling, while Sara provides employment-related assessments and counselling, helping people better understand their strengths, support needs and employment goals.

Alongside their participant work, Kelly and Sara oversee the day-to-day running of YOU Queensland, support the team, develop services and work closely with participants and families to make sure the support being provided is practical, meaningful and suited to the individual.

They are incredibly proud of the team they have built and how YOU Queensland has grown, while remaining a small, local organisation where clients are known, heard and supported by the people who run the business.

For Kelly and Sara, YOU Queensland has always been about more than providing a service. It is about creating opportunities, building confidence and supporting people to make their own choices and work towards a life that is meaningful to them.

Meet Lily! 👋🌿🐞

Lily is YOU Queensland’s friendly trainee, currently completing her Certificate III in Community Services, and has become an invaluable part of our team.

If you've ever called our office, chances are you've spoken with Lily! She helps with a little bit of everything, keeping things running smoothly and always greeting people with a friendly and welcoming attitude.

Lily is passionate about learning and enjoys supporting both our participants and our team wherever she can. She's always happy to lend a hand, take on new challenges, and build her skills as she works towards her qualification.

When she's not at work, you'll often find Lily searching for bugs and creepy crawlies! From insects to all the little creatures most people avoid, she loves learning about the fascinating world of nature.

This support can assist participants to:
- Explore employment interests and goals
- Identify strengths and support needs
- Build confidence and motivation around work
- Understand realistic employment pathways
- Provide helpful information to support plan reviews

Our approach is person-centered, practical, and focused on meaningful employment outcomes, and we are happy to discuss whether this support would suit your participant before you send a referral.

Meet Georgie! 👋🎉

Georgie is one of YOU Queensland’s dedicated Home and Community Support Workers, committed to helping participants live meaningful, fulfilling, and supported lives.

With experience supporting people with physical, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities, Georgie has worked alongside participants in their homes, out in the community, and in residential settings.

For Georgie, a great day is knowing her participants have made the most of their support time—whether that’s achieving a goal, maintaining their mental wellbeing, managing their home, or receiving assistance with personal care.

Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, going for walks, spending time with animals, listening to music, watching movies, exploring new places, and visiting local markets.
