Happy Wednesday everyone! We're a few days behind, but Livability Care Australia is proud to announce our three amazing Employees of the Month for this August 2026!

Thi Hong Doan Le (SA)
This award recognises Hong’s incredible journey with LCA over the past two years — from starting as a voluntary placement student, progressing to a casual and then part-time role, and now becoming a valued full-time member of the team. Her growth throughout this journey has been truly remarkable. From the beginning, Hong has demonstrated a strong commitment to learning, personal growth, and making a positive impact. With a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine care, Hong consistently goes above and beyond to support colleagues, participants, and stakeholders. Her professionalism, positive energy, and ability to build strong relationships have made a meaningful difference to the team.

Nivin Tom Shaji (QLD)
Nivin consistently goes above and beyond to support the participants he works with. He is incredibly respectful, supportive and reliable, always putting participants’ needs first. He shows genuine compassion in the way he supports others and can always be relied upon to carry out his responsibilities with care and commitment. What stands out about Nivin is the way he genuinely puts participants at the heart of everything he does, making them feel valued, respected and supported. His caring and reliable approach makes him a great example of our CARE Values and a valued member of our team.

Nirajan Subedi (SA)
Nirajan consistently demonstrates LCA’s CARE Values through the way he supports both participants and his colleagues. He takes the initiative to keep participants engaged in activities and supports them in working towards their goals. He is always willing to step in and provide support when a participant or staff member is facing a difficult situation. His proactive attitude, willingness to help and genuine commitment to supporting others make Nirajan a valued member of the LCA team.

A huge congratulations and thank you to Hong, Nirajan and Nivin for your dedication, passion, and commitment to the work you do.

The video is probably already quite telling, but here's to another one of Sean's days out!

This time, Sean is spending the day at the gym with our staff, getting active and having fun! Though at some point, it may have deviated to an impromptu cosplay session😅...referring to the second photo here!

Major Update!

To anyone in our network who's been following along with our Livability Care Australia vacancies, our Intake Team is happy to announce that our upcoming Port Adelaide SIL homes are nearing completion, with availability starting from the first week of September 2026.

We're now taking expressions of interest for all three homes:
2x SDA High Physical Support
1x SDA Robust

For some context, we have rented these homes from accredited SDA Providers and will therefore be the sole onsite SIL support provider. Separate service and tenancy agreements will be in place, which allows the added benefit of matching based on housemate compatibility, rather than whether they have SDA funding or not. SIL funding is required.

--------------
Why Livability Care Australia for SIL?

We take a tailored approach to SIL, focusing on creating a supportive and sustainable home environment. Our Intake and Service Teams look beyond funding to consider the right combination of compatible supports, housing features and housemates, with this approach continuing before and after onboarding. This includes individualised support plans and collaboration between LCA and the participant’s broader care team, including allied health and informal supports.
--------------

All three homes are open for private house viewings. Our team is looking to explore some initial participant matching, so please feel free to send through an enquiry our way.

Pictures in this post are only of the two SDA HPS homes — and as you can see, the homes feature built-in ramp access, 2 living spaces, 2 bedrooms with ensuites plus an OOA room, a large backyard, SDA provisions throughout the home and an accessible kitchen. Final touches and cleanings to be completed in the coming weeks.

For any enquiries, expressions of interest and/or house viewing requests, please feel free to contact us at [email protected] or 1300 522 786.

Happy Friday, everyone! 🌞🌿

This morning may have started with a strong bout of wet weather across North Adelaide, but for those lucky enough to take advantage of yesterday’s beautiful sunshine, it was the perfect day to get outdoors!

Here’s to our Northfield gentlemen, Peter and Lindsay, who did just that headed out for a lovely day at the park.

Surrounded by fresh air, nature and plenty of sunlight, it looks like they had a wonderful time enjoying the outdoors! 💚

It's finally happened!

After months of hard work, planning and preparation, Livability Care Australia is proud to announce the successful launch of Willem’s Life Story Book, held at his home on Wednesday, 12 August 2026.

Titled Willem’s Life Story: A Life Inspired by Music, the book tells the story of Willem’s life — from growing up with a disability, to his experiences, feelings and thoughts as his condition progressed, and the challenges he has navigated along the way. Through it all, Willem has continued to show incredible perseverance, finding strength and connection through his enduring love of music.

It was wonderful to see everyone - his entire support team, housemates and neighbours, come together to celebrate this amazing milestone alongside Willem. What made the day even more special, was not only seeing Willem and everyone enjoying themselves, but also hearing the conversations sparked by his book — amongst staff, housemates and neighbours alike.

And perhaps one of the biggest discoveries of the day was that music seems to be a shared interest among everyone! 🎶

A huge thank you, to Adelaide University, for once again collaborating with us to bring alive this amazing project for the third time. Likewise, a huge thank you as well to our Clearview, Service and Business Development for your hard work leading up and on the day.

Willem's book is free to read online, and can be accessed via the following link: https://canva.link/pwv822g66gx65u9

And lastly, if you enjoyed hearing about Willem’s Life Story Book Launch, be sure to keep an eye out for another special Life Story Book Launch coming up at the end of this month!
