Let’s be clear about NDIS Pricing:
📉 Prices are being cut in real terms for a 7th year in a row for Support Coordination and Plan Management.
❌ NDIS is not passing on the Fair Work Commission wage increase.
🙅‍♀️ These changes were made behind closed doors. People with disability, their families, and the providers who support them were not consulted.
⛔ Critical supports are being devalued.
🚫 Support Coordination and Plan Management Prices are not based on a cost model and are not benchmarked against like services in Aged Care, Workplace Accident Schemes and Vehicle Accident Schemes.
Support Coordinators and Plan Managers aren't optional — they are essential. They support participants navigate an increasingly bureaucratic system, exercise their choice, amplify their voice, build capacity and ensure NDIS participants actually get the support they need.
We need transparency. We need fairness. We need a system that listens. We must
DIA urgently calls on the NDIS National Disability Insurance Scheme to do the right thing and take immediate action:
1️⃣Pass on the 3.5% wage and 0.5% superannuation increase to Support Coordination and Plan Management pricing immediately (from 1 July);
2️⃣Reverse the cuts to establishment fees and rural/remote loading for Plan Management services;
3️⃣Reverse the cuts to provider travel so that services can be delivered in community settings not just clinics;
4️⃣Implement independent price setting. Only an independent pricing authority can set a transparent pricing model that accurately reflects the true cost of service delivery, including wage pressures, compliance costs, and the value of these services.

ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING SUPPORT COORDINATION

It is with regret that, today, the Board of Community Connections for Inclusion Ltd. (CCI) announces that, over the next three months, CCI will cease providing Support Coordination services under the NDIS.
CCI provides support coordination for 215 people with disability, principally in the ACT.
CCI will work through an orderly and measured process to help clients find new service providers and/or service arrangements.
Clients have already been contacted individually and all questions by clients should be directed to their support coordinator.
Plan Management services are not affected by this decision.
CCI is a local ACT not-for-profit organisation with more than 20 years of proud service to the people of Canberra. It has remained focused on providing support for people with disability to allow them agency over their lives, to engage as fully with the community as possible and to assist them to realise their lifegoals.
CCI has been actively engaged with, and supportive of, the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The introduction of the NDIS inevitably has required changes, and CCI has responded by making changes where possible and increasing efficiencies every year.
On-going determinations by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) on pricing of support coordination services - which have not increased at all in five years - has substantially contributed to the decision to cease support coordination. The cost of delivering support coordination has continued to increase each year with salaries, superannuation and workers’ compensation costs all rising.
CCI has also been unsuccessful in tendering for similar work funded by the ACT Government, together with other organisations that have long delivered grant-funded services in the ACT.
CCI held hopes to be included in a program announced by the NDIA in October 2024 - for which it lobbied - involving higher payments for quality support coordination service. However, eligibility criteria announced in February 2025 excluded its participation.
Having regard to this background, and other NDIA pricing and policy decisions, the CCI Board has been unable to determine a practical pathway to the sustainability of CCI delivery of support coordination.
Nothing will change immediately. This announcement is simply the start of a process of transition for CCI's support coordination clients, which it will endeavour, as far as is possible, to make as smooth and as seamless as possible.
