The national emergency alert test will take place on Monday 27 July 2026 at 2:00 pm.

All mobile phones will sound a loud 10-second siren and display an alert, even if they are on silent or Do Not Disturb.

If you or someone you know has a secret phone for safety reasons, it is recommended that the phone is turned off or placed in airplane mode before 2:00 pm. Leave it off for at least one hour after the test, as the alert may remain active on the network.

You may have heard about the few cases of migratory birds that have landed on Australian shores and died with the H5 bird flu.

The most recent landing was at Hawks Nest just up the road.

If you find sick or dead wildlife it's best not to touch it. Give the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline a call on 1800 675 888.

From Monday, 6 July 2026, Transport for NSW will be conducting day and night roadworks at the intersection directly outside our front entrance. While the works are underway, access to the clinic may be a little challenging at times, but we will remain open as usual. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Thursday 28 May 8am - 2pm at University of Newcastle Exercise Physiology Clinic, Hunter Sports Centre, Glendale

Free RSV Vaccinations Available at the Hub from Friday 15 May

Protect yourself this winter with a free RSV vaccine.

The vaccine is FREE for:
• People aged 75 years and over
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 60 years and over

RSV is a common respiratory virus that can cause serious illness, especially in older adults. Vaccination can help reduce the risk of severe infection, hospitalisation, and complications during the colder months.
