A few months ago, when our practice manager, Azura, headed off on her travels all around the world, Danielle stepped into the acting practice manager role to help keep Neuro Flourish running smoothly.

It quickly became clear to all of us that she was the perfect fit for Neuro Flourish. Danielle always leads with kindness, organisation, initiative, and a genuine commitment to our families and team.

Over the past several months, Danielle has done an incredible job supporting our owner, clinicians, children and families. She has consistently brought calm to the chaos, solved countless problems behind the scenes, and helped us continue to grow while staying true to our values.

Azura, will continue to work behind the scenes at Neuro Flourish, from her international 'office,' but she is officially handing over the Practice Manager role to Danielle.

We are incredibly grateful to Azura for everything she has built, and contributed to Neuro Flourish. Azura's impact is woven throughout our organisation and will continue to be felt long into the future.

So, after a very important Neuro Flourish-style 'promposal' today, Danielle has officially accepted the role of Practice Manager!

Danielle, thank you for everything you already bring to Neuro Flourish. We are so excited to officially welcome you into the role and can't wait to see what comes next.

Designed around shared interests, connection, creativity, and participation, our clubs provide opportunities for children and young people to build confidence, friendships, and have fun in a supportive environment.

This past week we celebrated our first year anniversary at our new clinic. We have grown to a team of 11 (well 15 if you include the chickens!)
I could not have imagined the incredible things we have achieved and the children, adolescents and families who have become such a precious part of all of our lives.

We cant wait to see what the next year brings!!! We cant wait to share some of the incredible things we have planned!

PDA is common in neurodivergent individuals.

When we change our view from thinking our PDAers are 'manipulative or defiant' to individuals who are overwhelmed and in sensory distress, we can become curious about how to support them.

At journal club this month, we discussed how supports for PDA need to be individualised and change the world around the child!
