Countries such as Spain, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea have already implemented variations of Menstrual Leave policies to support those affected. Australian women also deserve this understanding and person-centred care. Let’s make this change happen.

Let’s talk about birth control… 🤍

It can be a complex and sometimes difficult conversation to have, but it’s an important one. Thankfully, in Australia we have access to a wide range of contraceptive options, each with different benefits, costs, levels of effectiveness, and accessibility.

If you’re considering starting contraception, changing methods, or simply wanting to learn more, these slides provide a brief overview of some of the options available through the Australian healthcare system. Everyone’s body, lifestyle, and priorities are different, so what works well for one person may not work the same for another.

If this topic interests you, speak with a trusted healthcare professional, ask questions, and take the time to do your own research so you can make an informed decision that feels right for you ❤️‍🩹

And remember when it comes to contraception, every story is different. For some people, finding the right option can be life-changing, improving their quality of life, easing menstrual symptoms, or reducing anxiety around pregnancy. For others, the journey can be frustrating and involve a lot of trial and error before finding the right fit and some people ultimately feel best without hormonal contraception at all.

Save this for later to look back on for when you potentially may need it xx

Hi All,

We have 5 hours left of this petition so let’s make the most of it!!

To all 28,000+ of you who have already signed, thank you so much for your kind hearts and support. A special thank you to everyone who has shared it to their loved ones and to their social media ❤️‍🩹

For those who have not signed, here was my reason for starting the petition:

In a world where women's health remains underfunded and under-research, it is not okay that women are forced to use their annual or sick leave to manage chronic conditions that have no cure. Across Australia, women diagnosed with Endometriosis and Adenomyosis live with severe, ongoing health complications that impact every aspect of their daily lives. These women show up and push through but there are sometimes days within each cycle that are truly debilitating and life-altering. These women are not only fighting their conditions, but they are also fighting to be seen and supported. With action from the Australian Government, they can feel acknowledged through realistic, compassionate support, for living with chronic pain. An estimate 1 in 7 Australian Women live with Endometriosis, and 1 in 5 with Adenomyosis. Both conditions causing emotional distress, serve pain, fatigue, inflammation and impacts in participation within society. Current flexible workplace arrangements and existing workplace adjustments are not enough. They place a burden on these individuals rather than addressing the systemic gap in support. Countries such as Spain, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea have already implemented variations of Menstrual Leave policies to support those affected. Australian women also deserve this understanding and person-centred care. Let's make this change happen.

This journey does not end today, and I have so many new ideas and motive’s to work towards in the very near future!!! 👀
