WE’RE LOOKING FOR A YOGA TEACHER 🤍

There’s something special about teaching yoga in the hills.

At Mindful AF, we’re looking for a beautiful human to join our teaching team and share the practice with our community here in Emerald.

We’re looking for a teacher who is:

✨ Warm, authentic and grounded
✨ Confident holding space for a diverse range of students
✨ Passionate about yoga and movement
✨ Community-minded and reliable
✨ Comfortable teaching with presence, rather than performance
✨ Interested in creating classes where people feel welcome, safe and connected

Our studio is a little different.

We’re not just about the physical practice. Yoga • Movement • Community is at the heart of what we do.

We care about nervous-system awareness, connection, inclusivity and creating a space where people can come exactly as they are.

🌿 What we’re looking for

We’re particularly interested in teachers with experience in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative or similar styles, although we’d love to hear from the right person regardless of your particular teaching style.

We’re open to both regular classes and cover opportunities, depending on the right fit and availability.

Father’s Day….

A day that can hold so many different things.

For some, it’s celebration.
For some, gratitude.
For some, grief.
For some, complexity.
For some, very little at all.
And for others, a little pinch of all of it.

With a beautiful moment to myself, to pause, reflect on life happenings, I notice I am sitting in a few of those places today, holding the grief of loss of my geeps, the complexity and necessity of boundaries and the beautiful reality of raising a donor-conceived child with a loving special person.

It reminds me that special days don’t belong to just one story.

They can honour fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, chosen family, mentors, memories, motherhood, fatherhood, or simply the people who love and grow with us.

So today, whatever this day holds for you, I hope there is space for your experience.

Because sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do on a special day is simply acknowledge that it is important - for many different reasons and in many different ways. 🤍

Hold space for all experiences today and sending abundance love to everyone wherever they may be in their journey today 🙏🏻💫❤️

Deep Rest Circle is an invitation to slow down, soften and receive.

Together, we’ll create a nurturing space to rest, reconnect and support your nervous system through a thoughtfully curated experience that may weave together restorative yoga, Reiki and other gentle mindfulness practices as the seasons unfold. Every gathering is designed with intention, allowing you to arrive exactly as you are and leave feeling lighter, calmer and deeply restored.

Whether this is your very first Reiki experience or it’s been a while since you’ve had a session, Deep Rest Circle offers a beautiful opportunity to reconnect with yourself. Think of it as gentle maintenance for your mind, body and energy - a chance to pause, reset and refill your cup before life asks more of you again.

🌿 Hosted by Amy Star, founder of Mindful AF and ＭＩＮ ▹ＦＵＬＨＥＡＲＴＳＰ▵ ＣＥＳ , alongside Karen Langdon, an experienced Reiki Master and Medium as Kokoro Healing and offering services at Mindful Heart Spaces. Making the Deep Rest Circle a beautiful way to experience her work or continue nurturing yourself between individual sessions.

Together, with other special guests, they aim to create a safe, nurturing and heart-led space where rest, healing and connection can naturally unfold.

💫 Stepping Into the Unknown, Together 💫

Sometimes the hardest step is the one out of the familiar, into something new. I know this firsthand. Over the past year, I’ve been navigating a journey of deep self-reflection and healing. After a long-standing injury, I stepped back from physical activity, social media, and even being seen. I turned inward, working through patterns, traumas, and beliefs, focusing on breathwork and self-awareness. Balancing a full-time job, running the studio and healing center, hosting classes, and managing life’s endless to-do list has been a lot. Sound familiar?

But here’s what I’ve learned: My yoga practice has been my lifeline. Even when it wasn’t as consistent or “perfect” as I thought it should be, it gave me space. Space to breathe. To expand. To handle the chaos with a little more grace.

I’m not where I was, and I’m okay with that. I’m stepping back into my practice with an open heart and mind, not as someone who has it all together but as someone who’s walking the same path as you.

That’s why I’m inviting you to try something new with me: Slow Flow. These warmer classes are about more than movement—they’re a chance to “work out” physically and “work in” emotionally. To move with intention, breathe with awareness, and feel the support of a community that’s here to empower one another.

You don’t need to be a seasoned yogi or have it all figured out. You just need to show up, as you are. Let’s step into this unknown together, with curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to grow.

The hardest step is the first one—onto the mat. Let’s take it together.
