Some events remind you that business and community don't have to sit in separate worlds.

Yesterday, I attended Australia's Biggest Morning Tea hosted by Umberine Williams, Courtney Walsh, a simple idea that continues to make a real impact by bringing people together to support those affected by cancer.

Beyond the tea and conversation, the morning was about awareness, generosity, and people choosing to show up for a cause that matters. A personal highlight was having the opportunity to meet again Ruby Turner and share a conversation together.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and to those who continue to support Cancer Council's important work. Sometimes the most meaningful mornings are the ones that remind us why community matters.

What a nice way to wrap up the week yesterday ☕

I had the chance to attend Meaningful Connections: Melbourne North-West Coffee Catch-up, hosted by Welcare Support Services Sarah El-Nezami, and it was great connecting with so many different providers across the sector.

These kinds of catch-ups are always a good reminder that behind every service, every business, and every role, there are real people who genuinely care about supporting others.

One thing I always appreciate about these events is the chance to step away from the busy day-to-day and simply connect with people who understand the work, the challenges, and the purpose behind it all.

Good conversations, good people, and a good reminder that connection still and always matters in this field. 💜
