Bands have their place, but when it comes to rehab, weights give you real data.

With bands, resistance changes throughout the movement and can be difficult to accurately measure. With weights, the load is clear, progression is measurable, and improvements can be tracked with confidence.

Rehab isn’t just about movement, it’s about progressive loading, objective results, and getting you back stronger than before.

Part 2/3 looking at prone hand lift off at shoulder height — a great assessment for scapula retraction strength and control.

We’re assessing for things like scapula winging, dropping into the midline, wrist height, arm rotation and overall strength performance. Small differences side to side can tell us a lot about how the shoulder complex is functioning and where compensation patterns may be occurring.

The muscles at the back of the shoulder play a huge role in creating a stable foundation for the bigger pushing muscles at the front. Without good coordination and control between both, performance in movements like bench press, overhead pressing and general pushing strength can be limited — while also increasing stress through the shoulder joint itself.

Strong shoulders aren’t just about strength… they’re about control, positioning and timing.

Part 1/3 Shoulder Strength & Control 🔍

Today we’re looking at shoulder protraction strength and control using a half-kneeling cable protraction drill.

One of the most overlooked muscles in shoulder health is the serratus anterior. This muscle plays a huge role in controlling the shoulder blade position, helping your shoulder and chest muscles move efficiently and generate strength properly.

When the serratus isn’t functioning well, the shoulder joint often takes on extra load and other muscles start compensating. Over time, this can lead to ongoing shoulder tightness, weakness, instability and aches that never fully resolve.

Building better control = better movement, better performance and healthier shoulders long term 💪

Not everyone is the right fit for our clinic.

The people we help most are those who:

Train regularly
Take their health seriously
Want to perform at their best

But are stuck with an injury that just won’t fully resolve.

They’ve tried resting.
They’ve tried pushing through.
They’ve tried treatment that gave temporary relief.

What they actually need is a clear plan that progresses.

That’s where we come in.

MOST REHAB STOPS TOO EARLY.

Pain settles.
Training resumes.
The injury returns.

Proper rehab follows phases.

Calm the injury.
Enhance recovery.
Restore performance.
Return stronger.

Each phase has clear criteria before progressing.

Not guesswork.
Not arbitrary timelines.

That’s how injuries get resolved properly — and why they’re less likely to come back.

If something keeps flaring up when you return to training,
send READY and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Serious injuries aren't the time to improvise.

Muscle tears.
Ligament injuries.
Post-surgery rehab.

Doing "a bit of rehab" isn't enough.

People who take their training seriously treat rehab the same way:
- Clear plan
- Measured progress
- Expert guidance
- Full return to performance

That's how you come back stronger — not just "recovered."

If you're dealing with a serious injury and want to do it properly:

Send READY and we'll point you in the right direction.

High performers don’t fix pain by hoping it settles.

They fix it by following structure.

Real rehab includes:
- A clear diagnosis
- Objective testing
- Measurable strength benchmarks
- Structured progression
- Accountability

That’s how you return to training properly.

We work best with people who are serious about doing this the right way.

If that’s you,
DM READY or enquire via the link in our bio.

Most people with long-term pain aren’t lazy.

They’ve tried plenty.

Rest. Exercises. Advice. Waiting.

But without structure, progress stalls.

Real rehab needs:
- A clear diagnosis
- A progression plan
- Strength benchmarks

That’s what moves things forward.

If your pain has been hanging around for months,
It’s probably time for a proper plan.

Book when you're ready.

You’re not the type to quit.

You train consistently.
You show up.
You follow through.

But this pain?

It’s still there.

Most driven people don’t fail because they lack effort.
They fail because they lack structure.

Clear diagnosis.
Objective benchmarks.
Progressive loading.

That’s what changes outcomes.

If you’re ready to fix it properly,
Send us a DM or enquire via the link in our bio.
