High beta-glucuronidase, an enzyme produced by certain gut bacteria, can reduce your body’s ability to effectively eliminate toxins and oestrogen metabolites.

Instead of being removed from the body, these compounds can be reabsorbed, contributing to hormonal imbalance and potentially affecting skin health.

At Wellixa, we use Microba microbiome testing to assess your gut microbiome, including beta-glucuronidase activity, and DUTCH hormone testing to evaluate hormone production and metabolism.

Together, these tests help us uncover the underlying drivers of your symptoms so your treatment plan is targeted to your individual biochemistry.

Laser, skin needling and serums definitely have a place in supporting healing once we target what’s going on inside.

Healthy skin starts from within. To learn more, book a discovery call or send us a DM.

Having a morning routine is just as important as having a night routine in regulating your sleep patterns.

Having breakfast, eye exposure to sunlight, and taking the right supportive supplements during the day, impacts how we sleep at night and regulates our circadian rhythm.

If you’re lacking energy because of your poor sleep pattern, contact us to book an appointment to see what your body needs to get more quality sleep which will have a positive flow on effect in other areas of your life.

I see clients who desperately want help with their acne, weight gain, hot flushes, high cholesterol, or insomnia… but these symptoms are often just the tip of the iceberg.

They’re labels given to what you’re experiencing right now, not necessarily the reason it’s happening.

The real work is looking beneath the surface and addressing the drivers behind the diagnosis.

Gut health, HPA axis dysfunction, poor nutrition, inflammation, insulin resistance, liver function and more can all play a role.

It may take longer than simply masking symptoms, and it requires consistency and commitment, but when you address the cause, the results are far more sustainable.

How many coffees do you drink a day to function?

Caffeine works by blocking adenosine — the chemical that builds up throughout the day and signals your body to feel tired. But your genes can influence how quickly you clear caffeine from your system.

☕ Fast metabolisers may tolerate multiple coffees with minimal impact on sleep.
☕ Slow metabolisers can feel wired, anxious, or experience disrupted sleep from just one cup.

If coffee leaves you jittery, struggling to sleep, or needing more and more to feel the same effect, your body might be telling you something.

Depending on the client I always suggest no more than 2 coffees and the last one should be consumed by 2pm.

When a client presents with irregular cycles or other symptoms that feature a hormone imbalance it’s easy to just focus on the hormones.

BUT! It’s important to look beneath that and assess how the hormones are being impacted…

Is it due to stress?
Is it due to gut dysfunction?
Is the liver struggling?
Are you over training?
Do you have enough calorie intake?

If you just treat the symptom you could be applying a bandaid forever instead of focusing on treating the root cause which sometimes may take a little longer but the results are sustainable.

NAD+ is involved in cellular processes that help cells produce energy.

B vitamins are essential nutrients that support normal energy metabolism and contribute to healthy nervous system function. They are also important cofactors in many of the same metabolic pathways, which is why they are often administered together.

For myself personally, I train the same regardless of where I am in my menstrual cycle.

BUT the awareness of how my hormones might be impacting how strong how I am, cardiovascular fitness, how I recover or how excited and motivated I am to train does help me to support and understand myself better.
