What we love about this project is its reminder that pleasure is deeply human, and that women’s s*xuality deserves to be seen with curiosity, dignity, and autonomy.

For far too long, female pleasure has been treated as taboo, secondary, or something shaped around someone else’s experience. The 'O' Project gently flips that narrative, showing pleasure as something personal, joyful, messy, beautiful, and entirely our own.

No matter your age, background, or relationship status, you deserve a relationship with your s*xuality that feels empowering, not shameful.

High Tide has been recognised as one of urbanlist Top 100 Cultural Icons for 2026.

Honestly, it feels pretty cool (and really special) to see an adult store included on a list like this.

Before High Tide, we both worked in hospitality, and we know a lot of what shaped the store came from that. We were never particularly interested in creating a traditional retail experience. What we cared about was creating a space where people felt comfortable, looked after, and able to ask questions without shame or awkwardness.

So to be recognised in this way feels less about being an adult store, and more about that through line of service, care, and human connection being seen and felt by people.

To be included alongside so many brilliant Australian brands, spaces, and people shaping culture is the cherry on top.
