Even the weather was on our side on Sunday as we walked along the Moonee Ponds Creek starting from Oak Park. What a beautiful day for a stroll it was!

Thank you to all the strollers who came and to the new people who came for the first time. Do tell your friends what a friendly happy lot we are and do join us for the next walk!

𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞

The walk that was cancelled last Sunday will now take place this Sunday 16/08.

We’ll be exploring the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, enjoying a relaxed Sunday morning walk, some fresh air and good company along the way plus if you want to practice your Greek speaking skills feel free to do so!

Please note that the meeting place that is in the website has changed. We will now meet at the Oak Park Tennis Courts car park.

🌿 Nature Walk – Moonee Ponds Creek Trail & Strathnaver Grasslands 🌿

Join us on Sunday, 9 August 2026 as we explore another hidden gem in Melbourne's north – the beautiful Moonee Ponds Creek Trail and the Strathnaver Grasslands.

📅 Date: Sunday, 9 August 2026
🕚 Time: 11:00 a.m.
📍 Meeting Point: Oak Park Tennis Club, John Pascoe Fawkner Reserve, Francis St, Oak Park VIC 3046

👣 Distance: Approximately 5–6 km
🥾 Difficulty: Moderate

This scenic walk takes us along the peaceful Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, through native grasslands and open parklands. It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy local wildlife, discover one of Melbourne's natural treasures, and spend a relaxing Sunday morning with friends.

💚 As always, our walks are about nature, good company, conversation and community. Everyone is welcome!

📸 Bring your camera – there will be plenty of opportunities to capture the beauty of the creek, native birds and winter landscapes.

☕ After the walk, we'll finish with a coffee and a chat at a nearby café.

🌿 Nature Walk – George Tindale & Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens 🌿

Join us on Sunday, 19 July for another beautiful Nature Walk as we explore two of the Dandenong Ranges' most spectacular gardens.

🕚 Meeting Time: 11:00 a.m.
📍 Meeting Point: Entrance of George Tindale Memorial Gardens

👣 Approximately 5 km loop (1.5–2 hours)
🥾 Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

Our walk will take us through the colourful George Tindale Memorial Gardens, along the peaceful Sherbrooke Forest, and into the magnificent Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens, famous for its ornamental lake, boathouse and picturesque pathways.
