The biggest mistake I made during my first pregnancy was just winging it.

Your body goes through so many different changes other than just your belly growing.
Your organs move as the pregnancy progresses, your centre of gravity changes, your core and pelvic floor are under increased pressure, you become more mobile, and your ability to tolerate certain movements and loads can change as the pregnancy goes on.

Understanding what’s happening INSIDE your body helps you make better decisions around exercise selection, load, intensity, breathing, core and pelvic floor work, and when a movement may need to be modified.
Instead of following the exact same program, understand what’s actually going on so you can adjust your training BEFORE you run into any problems.

Pregnancy training shouldn’t stay the same as pre-pregnant you. It now needs to support your changing body, manage symptoms, keep you strong, and prepare you for labour, birth, recovery and then, motherhood.

38 weeks pregnant → 1 year postpartum 🤍

We don’t “bounce back” because don’t just have a baby and return to the body, strength and fitness you had before.. even if you did train the entire pregnancy.

Rebuilding takes TIME.

It’s rebuilding your core and pelvic floor, your strength, confidence and trusting in your body.

1 year postpartum isn’t a “before and after” It’s 12 months of slowly rebuilding a body that went through something so fking incredible

Respectfully, I’m not taking advice from someone who doesn’t have to fit their health around THIS

“Just be more disciplined” sounds great when nothing is competing for your time..

When you’ve got kids, work to do, a house to run, dinner to make, s**t sleep and many other things happening at once… your approach needs to actually work in with that.

& that’s exactly how I coach.
