We're delighted to share this video recap of GINHAWA AND OUR ECOLOGIES OF BELONGING Exhibit!

The Ginhawa 2.0 Exhibit gathered artists who embodied the spirit of Ginhawa in contemporaneity through their artworks.

At the opening, our guests of honor included UP College of Education Dean Joel Javiniar, UP College of Arts and Letter Dean Jimmuel Naval and Dept of Art Studies Chair Prof Sofie Guillermo.

National Artist Kidlat Tahimik also graced the occasion with a performance.

Kudos to the entire group of artists and staff who responded to our call, helping us enliven what Ginhawa could mean in this age of uncertainty and ecological precarity.

In our second Dancing Ecologies workshop, we invite volunteer participants of all bodies and abilities to learn β€œSaribuhay Dance” a new participatory dance score devised by Rina Corpus and the Galaw Nilay Collective. No dance training required, but just the ability to feel and be present with a moving, rhythmic chorus of participatory dance. As part of our Ginhawa Project, we will be sharing a movement process where we can embody the elements within us as an act to reconnect with ourselves, nature and community.

Accessible to and honoring the diversity of bodies, ages, and lived experiences, SARIBUHAY will be enacted in various spaces β€” indoors/outdoors, public spaces, and natural surroundings, as a way of reclaiming ourselves and our communities in a time marked by disconnection.

Ginhawa Unplugged. We took some moments to be screen-free for two hours, as we exercised, journaled, shared stories, meditated and created a community mandala, with the help of expressive arts facilitator Ms Candice Reyes Talampas and Art Studies Prof Rina Corpus.

We thank the Ginhawa artists and staff for another meaningful exhibit this year! We hope the spirit of Ginhawa will spread waves of inner stability and community solidarity through these times of uncertainty.

We also thank the Brahma Kumaris for sharing a short meditation experience to cap our session with feelings of inner peace and The Third Space UP Diliman for the venue partnership.
