Some tenderness when biting is also common and can last longer than sensitivity to hot or cold, this typically improves gradually with time.
If needed, sticking to softer foods for the first day or two can help reduce strain on the tooth and surrounding tissues while any inflammation settles. Maintain your normal brushing and flossing routine, but be gentle, overdoing it can irritate the gum tissue.
