Greg Riley Architecture of Experience I release high performers from the pressure of exceptionalism.

Our emotions are not bad, they never have been but somewhere along the line people started telling everyone that they were.

They’re actually exactly what we need to be one or the real who we actually are.

So stop bypassing or performing and actually feel everything.

No matter how much evidence there is that this guy does doing dodgy s**t.

People still adore him.

That is called a cult.

Either you double down on the leader or you finally see the light.

Which one is it?

Emotional awareness and control is a trait that makes you hard to manipulate.

And the way to get there asks you to do something that few do.

Go to a place do deep inside of you that if shatters your identity.

That’s why very few master this.

There’s no point trying to win an argument, nobody does in that instance.

What you can do is influence an outcome.

That’s much more fun.

The silent treatment is not power. It’s weakness.

It shows a lack of emotional awareness and this is how you counteract it.

Humans do not communicate through words.

Yet we all try to convince people of our point of view only through what we say.

When you understand how people actually communicate we can even have our wives telling all their friends how brilliant we are.

And when she does, that leads to a lot of other things, which I think you know what they are.

What if AI is not what we think it is.

What if AI is the precursor to the next level of human evolution, not technically but consciously?

What if it forces us to develop skills that have been forgotten and dormant while we chased information?

Your burnout was never about the workload, plenty of exhausted people are perfectly happy.

Real burnout is misaligned effort: energy spent on something you quietly don’t want.

That’s what’s draining you, and it’s why rest never fixes it.

The tiredness was never the problem.

I write a short letter most Sundays on what sits underneath a working life: https://apply.gregriley.com.au/sign-up-page-page

You go on holiday but you can’t switch off.

You go on a wellness retreat yet your mind is going at 100%.

It’s frustrating that you can’t just relax.

You want to but you can’t.

Your body goes into convulsions just being by itself for 30 seconds.

There is a reason for it.

That identity is not meant too. It can’t.

Performance, optimisation and relaxation don’t go in the same bucket, yet we try to do that.

Once you stop trying to relax a part of you that’s not designed to, then you can open the door to the part of you that does.

You can use a term called status inversion to understand why people do or don’t buy things or change behaviour.

People don’t make choices, we respond to things.

Part of it is knowing that people make decisions because of identity, status and what this says about us/how it looks in front of others.

You know that….thats a back door to someone’s psychology.
