You’ve heard the term leaky gut. But nobody ever shows you what it actually looks like.

So here it is… a real result, from a real client.

Your gut lining is one cell thick. Those cells sit tightly together to control what crosses into your bloodstream. When zonulin is elevated, like this result, those connections loosen. The barrier becomes permeable. And your immune system starts reacting to things it was never supposed to see.

Her zonulin came back at 128. The upper limit is 107. That one number explained everything she’d been feeling for months.

Leaky gut doesn’t happen randomly. There’s always something driving it. The result just shows us the barrier is down. The rest of the test tells us why.

And why is where the healing actually starts.

Save this one - it’s worth coming back to 🫶

There’s a specific kind of exhausting that comes from knowing something is wrong with your body and not being able to prove it.

You got tested. It came back clear. So why do you still feel like this?

The answer, almost every time, is that the test was looking for the wrong things.

A standard stool test screens for parasites and pathogens. It doesn’t look at your gut barrier. It doesn’t look at what bacteria are overgrown. It doesn’t look at what protective bacteria have been wiped out. It doesn’t look at inflammation markers.

So it comes back clear. And you go home with no answers and a gut that still doesn’t work.

This is exactly what happened to the client in this reel. And it’s exactly what a Complete Microbiome Map found that the other test missed.

If your gut hasn’t been right since travelling, it’s not in your head. There’s a reason. And it’s findable.

If you want to find out more about gut testing, send me a dm and we can chat all about 🫶

Every year around this time she notices it.

The jeans that fit in March suddenly feel tight by June. The face that looked fine last week looks puffy in the mirror. The stomach that was manageable is bloated again by 3pm.

And she can’t figure out what she’s doing differently.

She hasn’t changed her diet that much. She’s not eating badly. But something shifts every winter and she can never quite explain it.

Here’s what’s actually happening.

Cold weather constricts your blood vessels, pushing fluid into the surrounding tissue. You move less, so your lymphatic system, which relies entirely on movement to function - slows right down. Your cortisol rises with less sunlight and less warmth, driving inflammation. And the fluid that should be clearing quietly starts to accumulate instead.

It’s not a you problem. It’s a seasonal one.

And lymphatic drainage is genuinely one of the best things you can do for it — because it manually moves what your body is struggling to shift on its own.

Winter is actually when your body needs it most.

You’ve worked out your “safe” foods. You stick to them carefully. You eat the same things most days. And
you’re still bloating.

I know how demoralising that feels. Like your body is working against you no matter what you do.

But here’s what that pattern is actually telling us and why it’s more hopeful than it feels.

If even your safe foods are causing reactions, the problem isn’t the food. It’s the environment the food is landing
in.

An inflamed, dysbiotic gut, one where beneficial bacteria are depleted and inflammatory species are overgrown - will react to almost anything. Even broccoli. Even rice. Because the gut isn’t reacting to the food specifically. It’s reacting to anything that enters an already compromised environment.

Add a leaky gut lining to that, food particles crossing into the bloodstream, the immune system mounting a response and suddenly every meal feels like a gamble.

Here’s the good news. If it were a true food intolerance, you’d have to avoid that food forever. But if it’s the gut environment and in my experience, it almost always is - that environment can be changed.

Rebuild the beneficial bacteria. Repair the gut lining. Reduce the inflammation. And the foods that used to destroy you start becoming tolerable again.

That’s food freedom. And it’s completely possible.

The Radiance Reset at Aegle Wellness includes a Complete Microbiome Map - so we can see exactly what’s happening inside and fix the environment, not just manage symptoms.

DM me RESET to find out if it’s the right fit.

Save this for the next time someone tells you to “just avoid trigger foods.”

If you have PCOS and feel like you’re doing everything right, the medication, the diet, the supplements and still nothing is shifting.

This one’s for you.

What most people don’t realise is that PCOS isn’t just a hormone problem. The elevated androgens, the irregular cycle, the cystic acne - those are symptoms. The question is what’s driving them in the first place.

And one of the most overlooked pieces? The gut.

Your gut microbiome plays a direct role in how your body manages insulin. And insulin is at the root of most PCOS symptoms because when insulin is chronically elevated, your ovaries respond by producing more testosterone. More androgens. That’s the acne along your chin and jaw. That’s the unpredictable cycle. That’s the symptom that never fully resolves no matter what you try.

When the gut bacteria responsible for insulin sensitivity are depleted or imbalanced, which they very commonly are in women with PCOS - the whole cascade gets worse.

It won’t show on a standard blood test. Because a standard blood test isn’t looking at your gut microbiome.
But a microbiome map will.

If your PCOS journey has felt like managing symptoms without ever actually getting better - there might be a piece of the picture nobody has looked at yet.

Comment CLARITY below and I’ll send you the link to book a free clarity call so we can chat about what’s actually going on and how I can help 🤍

Save this and share it with a woman who has PCOS and feels like nothing is working.

She was going to the bathroom once every two weeks. Only ever with a laxative. And she’d been living like this for years.

She’d tried everything the internet told her to try. More fibre. More water. Probiotics. Her GP tested her, everything came back normal.

Normal. For someone who went to the bathroom twice a month.

When we looked properly - gut testing, microbiome mapping - we found what was actually going on.

Her gut motility bacteria were critically depleted. The species responsible for keeping waste moving through the digestive tract were almost entirely absent. We also found methane-producing organisms, which slow motility even further. And her butyrate was low, meaning her gut lining wasn’t getting the fuel it needed.

This wasn’t a water intake problem. This wasn’t a fibre problem. This was a microbiome problem.

We built a targeted protocol based on what her gut actually needed. Rebuilt the motility bacteria. Addressed the methane overgrowth. Supported the gut lining. And incorporated lymphatic drainage alongside the naturopathy, because when the gut is that sluggish, the lymphatic system is working overtime. Treating both together is where the results accelerate.

Four months later - daily bowel motions. No laxatives. She told me she feels lighter in every sense of the word.

Your gut is not meant to work this hard. DM me RESET and let’s talk about whether the Radiance Reset is the right fit for you.
