A Lady asked an old street vendor: "How much do you sell your eggs for?" The old man replied "0.50¢ an egg, madam.”

The Lady responded, “I'll take 6 eggs for $2.00 or I'm leaving.” The old salesman replied, “Buy them at the price you want, Madam.

This is a good start for me because I haven't sold a single egg today and I need this to live.”

She bought her eggs at a bargain price and left with the feeling that she had won.

She got into her fancy car and went to a fancy restaurant with her friend. She and her friend ordered what they wanted.

They ate a little and left a lot of what they had asked for. So they paid the bill, which was $150. The ladies gave $200 and told the fancy restaurant owner to keep the change as a tip.

This story might seem quite normal to the owner of the fancy restaurant, but very unfair to the egg seller.

The question it raises is;
Why do we always need to show that we have power when we buy from the needy?

And why are we generous to those who don't even need our generosity?

We once read somewhere that a father used to buy goods from poor people at a high price, even though he didn't need the things. Sometimes he paid more for them. His children were amazed.

One day they asked him "why are you doing this dad?" The father replied: "It's charity wrapped in dignity.”

That's beautiful ❤️

Some of our greatest assets are within us: laughter, imagination and dreams.

These are free and you have the power to use them or not.

Believe in yourself; there will always be skeptics, just don't listen to them.

When you accept yourself, others opinions of your won't matter as you know the person you are inside.

From the moment we are born, we are changing. Our cells and bodies change, and so do our thoughts and feelings. Sometimes the change is fast and painful, and other times slow and never-ending. Change is always coming.

By learning to prepare oneself for the changes, one can become more resilient. It is essential to focus on what outcome we want before the shift begins. But if the change has already started and one hasn't done that, it's ok, one can do it now. Because right now is where the power is. Not in the past nor in the future. It's always in the now.

Be kind to self in the process of change. Be kind to others while they go through their process of evolution. People can stand by and watch the change happening for others, and want to offer a little support here and there, but in the end, it's up to the individual to get through the transition.

If we look at the process of a caterpillar. It seems to struggle so much in trying to break out of the cocoon. A person might be tempted to help out, intervene as the pain they are witnessing is unbearable, or feel sorry for it. If they do, they may actually interrupt the inner and outer strength of the caterpillar. Then it will become dependent on you or someone else. The caterpillar must build its muscles, and by beating on the cocoon, it is getting blood to the wings and strengthening its muscles so it can fly free. It's the process of change.

Learning to decipher, how and when to offer help is vital for everyone and everything. Offer support to create some stability and empower the person in the change to feel empowered and recognise their real internal power.

So remember to be kind to self and others and also remember everyone and everything has personal power and strength deep inside. Be there to catch them like you would a baby learning to walk. Use those encouraging words and give them affirmations. You don't say to a baby get up you dummy, so why do we berate people when they are going through a hard change? Kindness is priceless.

When people look towards other people to make them happy, to be responsible for their happiness, it's a huge responsibility and burden put on them. They will no doubt let you down, not once, or twice but many times over the years, until the common denominator changes.

Even parents can let down the child, and they will. They also need to enforce boundaries and teach so many things to their children. They will make mistakes, but they will do the best they can. That does not mean their best is good enough for you, but it's their best at that time, based on their feelings and experiences.

People who truly make it their responsibility for their happiness are more empowered and make better choices for their life, experiences, and the company they keep.

Begin to notice the internal dialogue, is it supporting, nurturing, kind, or is it a bully and mean and putting yourself down? If it's the latter, there is a way to change that. Commit to happiness, kindness, and love within. Setting the power of intention to this way of being; the new evolved self and the way you feel changes, and so does the environment.

Too old, too busy, too tired? what's really stopping you?

Ever felt like you’re too old to do something? Well, you’re not. And Ernestine Shepherd is proof of that. She’s the world’s oldest female bodybuilder, and believe it or not, the iron-pumping grandma recently turned 81.

I love this. Age is just a number. We can give it any meaning we want. Just live life :)
