One of our favourite things about Halloween is getting creative before the big day.

This Sunday, little makers can decorate their very own trick or treat bag to take home, ready to fill with lollies on Halloween night.

We’ll also have our much-loved Mini Farm (with even more friendly animals this time around), free face painting, local cafĂ©s and eateries just a few steps away, and plenty of reasons to spend a relaxed Sunday morning at Watsonia Shops | Shopping, Dining and Events

It’s free, it’s family-friendly, and we’d love to see you there.

One of our favourite things about goodstart_watsonia is seeing what the children are learning each week.

Whether they’re discovering the life cycle of birds, exploring the signs of spring, learning about shapes through play or building little worlds with natural materials, there’s always something thoughtful happening in the classrooms.

You can tell there’s so much care behind every activity, and we love seeing the curiosity, creativity and confidence that’s encouraged along the way. It’s a lovely reminder that some of the biggest learning happens through play, exploration, and simply asking questions.

If you’re beginning to think about kindergarten or early learning for your little one, we’d encourage you to book a tour and experience the centre for yourself.

Sometimes the best way to get a feel for a place is simply to walk through the doors, meet the educators and see the environment firsthand.

Drawing families from across Melbourne each year, Halloween in Watsonia transforms the local shopping precinct into an afternoon of trick or treating, roaming entertainment and spooky surprises.

As the sun begins to set, shop windows fill with costumed families, ghostly bubbles drift through the Town Square, Halloween characters roam the streets, and local businesses throw open their doors for one of Watsonia’s favourite annual traditions.

This year, Watsonia Library will also stay open late especially for Halloween, adding family-friendly activities to an afternoon that stretches across the Town Square, shopping precinct, and library.

Whether you’re visiting for the costumes, the trick or treating or simply to soak up the atmosphere, Halloween in Watsonia is the perfect excuse to wander the main street, discover local cafĂ©s and restaurants, support local businesses and experience one of Melbourne’s most vibrant neighbourhood Halloween celebrations.
