You don’t need a perfect week. You need a mostly good month. 💚

One salty restaurant dinner doesn’t undo ten home-cooked ones. A skipped walk doesn’t erase a fortnight of them. Kidneys don’t keep score meal by meal; they respond to patterns: what you do MOST of the time, repeated long enough to matter.

That’s genuinely good news, because “mostly” is achievable. Perfection isn’t – and chasing it is usually what makes people quit entirely by Thursday.

So if this week wobbled, you haven’t failed. You’re one ordinary, mostly good day away from being right back in the pattern.

What’s one small thing you’ve kept up lately, even imperfectly? Brag a little. 👇

🥕🥒 Spring Salad with Creamy Dill Dressing 🥒🥕

Looking for a fresh, vibrant salad that is packed with flavour and nutrients? This simple shaved carrot and cucumber salad is light, refreshing, and loaded with plant compounds that support overall health 🌿✨

Not a fan of mayonnaise? No problem! Greek yogurt or plain plant based yogurt works beautifully as a creamy alternative while adding extra protein and beneficial nutrients 💚

Why you'll love this salad 👇

🥕 Carrots are rich in beta carotene, which supports eye health and antioxidant protection

🥒 Cucumbers provide hydration and refreshing crunch

🌿 Fresh dill adds flavour and beneficial plant compounds

🍋 Lemon juice delivers a bright burst of vitamin C

Serves: 3 🍽️

Creamy Dill Dressing 🌿

🧄 1 clove garlic
🫒 1/4 cup olive oil
🍋 2 tbsp lemon juice
🥄 2 tbsp mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, or plain plant based yogurt
🌿 2/3 cup fresh dill, divided
🧂 1/4 tsp salt, or to taste

Salad Ingredients 🥕🥒

🥕 3 medium carrots
🥒 1 large cucumber

Method 👩‍🍳

For the dressing:

🧄 Blend or finely grate the garlic.

🥣 Add olive oil, lemon juice, mayonnaise or yogurt, half the dill, and salt.

🌿 Blend until smooth and creamy.

For the salad:

🥕 Using a vegetable peeler, shave the carrots into long ribbons.

Pasta night, kidney style, no special ingredients, one pan, about 20 minutes. 🍝

These basil zucchini noodles come from our Low-Potassium Recipes collection: fresh zucchini ribbons sautéed with onion, garlic, and green pepper, then tossed with silken tofu, basil, and a pinch of chilli flakes.

Light, fresh, very summer and the numbers stay polite (the full nutrition panel is on the last slide for the detail-lovers).

Breakfast is where kidney-friendly eating quietly falls apart. ☀️

Not dinner, there are endless recipes for dinner. Breakfast is the autopilot meal, and the classic “healthy” lineup (big orange juice, bran cereal, banana on everything) leans hard on exactly the things some of us are watching. (And if your blood work says those are fine for you, enjoy! That’s the whole point of testing instead of guessing.)

So we’re crowd-sourcing the real answers:

👉 What’s your go-to kidney-friendly breakfast, the one you ACTUALLY eat most mornings?

Berries on oats? Eggs on white toast? A rice-milk smoothie? Last night’s rice fried with spring onion? No answer is too boring – “boring and repeatable” is half the secret of every diet that actually works.

Someone reading this right now is completely out of ideas. Your everyday answer might become their breakfast tomorrow. 💚👇

😴🩺 Sleep and Kidney Health: Special Considerations 🩺😴

For people living with kidney disease, quality sleep can become even more important for recovery, energy levels, immune function, and wellbeing 🌙✨

Both dialysis patients and kidney transplant recipients may experience unique sleep related challenges that deserve attention and support 💚

For Dialysis Patients 💧

🕒 Timing matters

Whenever possible, scheduling dialysis sessions in a way that supports a consistent sleep routine may help improve sleep quality and reduce fatigue.

😴 Managing post dialysis fatigue

Feeling exhausted after dialysis is common. Short naps lasting around 20 to 30 minutes may help restore energy without interfering with nighttime sleep.

Long daytime naps may sometimes disrupt normal sleep patterns 🌙

😮‍💨 Watch for sleep apnea

Symptoms such as loud snoring, interrupted breathing during sleep, morning headaches, or excessive daytime fatigue should be discussed with a healthcare provider.

For Kidney Transplant Recipients 🌱

💊 Medication effects on sleep

Some anti rejection medications may affect sleep quality and contribute to insomnia, vivid dreams, or disrupted sleep patterns.

🩺 Ongoing monitoring matters

Even after a successful transplant, sleep disorders may still persist or newly develop. Continued monitoring and open communication with healthcare providers are important for long term health and recovery.

Sleep is not just rest. It is a vital part of healing 🧬✨

Nine out of ten people who have kidney disease don’t know they have it.

Read that again, then realise something about yourself: if you’re here, watching your numbers, asking questions… you’re the one in ten. The hard part – knowing – is already behind you. 🧠

A major new global analysis (published in The Lancet this month) found chronic kidney disease now affects roughly one in seven adults, nearly 850 million people worldwide, and is on track to become the world’s 5th leading cause of death by 2040. Quiet early, no symptoms, easily missed.

The fix is almost absurdly simple: two routine tests – a blood test (eGFR) and a urine check (for protein). That’s it. That’s how it gets caught early, when there’s the most room to act.

So here’s tonight’s ask. Think of one person you love who hasn’t had their kidneys checked over 60, is diabetic, has high blood pressure, or has a family history. Send them this post and these nine words: “Ask for an eGFR and urine test. It’s easy.”

You might be the reason someone finds out at stage 2 instead of stage 4. 💚

How did YOU find out about your kidneys – routine test, or symptoms? 👇

“My eGFR got down to 16. I started taking the Kygenesis kidney support capsules six months ago. My eGFR is now 31.” – Tommie D., December 2025

And the most honest line Tommie left us: “It’s not a quick fix process.”

Six months of steady, unglamorous, consistent work, day in and day out and a number that nearly doubled.

What Tommie took: Kidney Prime and Kidney Advance – the two products in our Kidney Support Protocol (the “kidney support capsules,” on subscription).

Results are individual; your kidneys, your history and your timeline are your own. But if a frightening number is staring back at you today, Tommie’s is a reminder that numbers can move. 💚

The most dangerous thing ever said about kidney disease isn't a number on a lab report. It's a sentence: “There's nothing more we can do.” 💔

Said too often, and too early, and it simply isn't the whole truth.

Are kidneys complicated? Yes. Is every case the same? No. But “nothing can be done” has talked countless people out of changes that could have genuinely helped food, movement, sleep, stress, and the right support.

You are not a lost cause. You are a person with options worth exploring. 💚

If “nothing can be done” was ever said to you, drop a 🙌 below. Let's remind each other how untrue that can be.

😴🩺 Common Sleep Disorders in Chronic Kidney Disease 🩺😴

Sleep problems are very common in people living with Chronic Kidney Disease, also known as CKD 🌙

Poor sleep can affect energy, mood, concentration, cardiovascular health, and overall quality of life. In many cases, kidney disease itself can contribute to the development of sleep disorders 🔬

Here are some of the most common sleep related conditions seen in CKD 👇

Restless Legs Syndrome 💥🦵

Up to 40% of people with advanced CKD may experience Restless Legs Syndrome, often called RLS.

This condition is characterised by an overwhelming urge to move the legs, especially during rest or at night. Symptoms may include:

⚡ Tingling
🔥 Burning sensations
🦵 Crawling or uncomfortable feelings in the legs

RLS can make it extremely difficult to relax and fall asleep.

Sleep Apnea 😮‍💨🌙

Sleep apnea occurs when breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep.

This condition is significantly more common in individuals with CKD and may be linked to:

💧 Fluid shifts within the body
🫁 Airway swelling
🧠 Changes in breathing regulation

Sleep apnea can reduce sleep quality and place additional stress on the heart, kidneys, and metabolic system ❤️

Periodic Limb Movements 🦵💤

Periodic limb movements involve involuntary leg jerking or twitching during sleep.

These repeated movements can fragment sleep patterns, reduce restorative sleep, and contribute to ongoing daytime fatigue and poor concentration ⚠️

Sleep is essential for healing, recovery, and overall kidney health 🌿✨

Identifying and addressing sleep disorders may help improve both quality of life and long term health outcomes in people living with CKD 💚

Semaglutide is all over the headlines right now, so let's talk about it honestly, on both sides. 💉

The good, and it's real: in a major trial, it cut serious kidney events by about a quarter in people with type 2 diabetes and kidney disease.

The other side of the coin: it can bring your digestion to a near standstill; nausea, vomiting, real gut troubles and the dehydration that follows can actually strain your kidneys. It's newer for kidney disease, so the long-term picture is still unclear.

Here's what rarely makes the headlines: the same dials these drugs turn- blood sugar, blood pressure, inflammation, weight loss - will also move with what you eat, how you move, how you sleep, and the right nutrients. With or without a prescription.

This isn't “drugs are bad.” It's “know both sides, and don't underestimate your own daily choices.” Always talk to your doctor about what's right for you.

What have you been told about these new kidney medications? 👇
