The sound bath glow.

Two friends requested a private, personalised meditation and sound bath. A beautiful opportunity to slow down, breathe and simply enjoy the experience together.

At the end of the session, they were still sitting quietly in the space, taking in those last moments of stillness. I love that they weren’t in a hurry to leave.

Earlier this week my Nonna Stella passed away at 98.

There are so many memories I want to share, but words never quite feel like enough.

We’re lucky to have so many photos of her, and even more so, videos. Hearing her voice and seeing her expressions again is something I’ll always treasure.

She was one of the last of a generation of Italian Australians who came here with little more than a suitcase and built a life through hard work and determination.

What I loved most was that, despite everything, she kept a youthful spirit about her. She was headstrong, resilient, and always completely herself.

In her final days, I spent some quiet time with her doing gentle energy and sound healing, praying for a peaceful transition. It’s a moment I’ll always be grateful for.

Someone recently said to me, perhaps the way we live our lives is reflected in the way we face death. She was strong until the end, resisting letting go and doing it in her own time and in her own way. Maybe, no matter our age, there is still a little fear and uncertainty about what comes next.

I was very lucky to have had her in my life.

Female alchemists were the local healers and experimented with early chemistry at home, making healing creams, perfumes, and simple medicines. Their brilliance was hidden for centuries, and it was incredible to see them celebrated and brought into the light by Anselm Kiefer. Amazing exhibition.

Because women were kept out of universities, they learnt in secrecy ~ crushing plants, boiling liquids, and mixing powders. Their work helped shape modern science, even though they were often dismissed or accused of witchcraft.

Here’s to the strong, brave, curious, and creative women everywhere who keep pushing boundaries and reshaping the world.

St. Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos) in Folegandros felt exactly like what people call it, ‘the island of power’. The energy was obvious from the moment we arrived. Calm, strong, a little mystical. We all felt it.

The green marble cliffs, the deep blue sea, the wild herbs, the wind, the open views, the locals, the silence … it slowed us down in a way we actually needed.

Screen‑free days, no notifications, no scrolling. A deliberate and welcomed shift for me. It became a place to reset together, and to reconnect with Jasper, our eldest.

Fresh fish, slow‑cooked meats, handmade pasta, local cheese and honey.

Simple, shared, delicious.
