Spring is almost here and our little Deni is very excited!!

For horse owners spring is about managing many things but this is your reminder that we need to be looking closely at your horse’s 💩

Do your Faecal egg counts now to understand your horse’s worm burden and to avoid using chemicals unnecessarily where possible.

Remember - avoiding over treatment is our best best defence against resistance to wormers!

Drop your poo off at Peninsula Park Equestrian Centre on Eramosa Rd W in Moorooduc and message Sarah to let her know that it is there… within 24 hrs you will get your results and Sarah’s experienced guidance on the appropriate next steps.

Put down those wormers and only worm now if you have had a faecal egg count and it’s over 500 strongyle eggs per gram. Look at this horse’s legs yesterday!!! Bot flies are definitely still around 🪰 We need to wait until they are well and truly gone to worm and break the life cycle.
