Hello Friends 😊
Here is a little look at the adventure ahead! 🇵🇪🗻🥾
With Peru getting closer, I thought I’d share a bit more about the journey ahead for Renata, Richard and me.
📍We’ll begin with two acclimatisation days in Cusco at 3,400 m, including a city tour and a full day exploring the Sacred Valley, before heading into the mountains.
Our Salkantay trek then takes us through Soraypampa (3,850 m) and Salkantaypampa (4,000 m), past beautiful Humantay Lake (4,200 m) and up to the high point of the trek at Salkantay Pass — 4,600 m.
From there we descend through changing landscapes towards Collpapampa (2,750 m) and Lucmabamba (2,050 m), before continuing on to Aguas Calientes and the incredible finale — Machu Picchu.🌄
Renata and Richard have both worked so hard on their preparations, and I’m really looking forward to sharing this journey with them.💚
After the trek, we’ll have a well-earned rest day in Cusco, followed by the option of Rainbow Mountain at 5,200 m 🌈 and one final day to choose between more hiking, sightseeing, or simply soaking up Cusco.
I can’t wait to head back to the mountains for a second time this year and catch up with my fantastic Peruvian co-guide, Fermin.💚
Peru is getting very close now…
