It’s not always easy to engage with kids if we’re not connecting with them!

Today we bought over a very special helper to teach spray painting! This was a learning opportunity and a safe space to express their interest for art and creativity, to freely create something magical and in a positive environment.

Supportive Steps will give absolutely anything a go if it means we’re able to assist to achieve your goals in a fun and engaging way!

Today we celebrate the mothers, the daughters, the sisters, grandmothers & aunties, the best friends, the business owners, the team leaders. The women in our lives that make a defenceless, sacrificial but upmost impactful and beautiful difference in our lives.

At international women’s day today, hosted by some of the most inspiring of ladies. Supportive Steps owner, Paige & team leader Eloise sat and reflected on the stories, perspectives and community built in this industry. Women standing on business, fighting to make a difference and to have our voices heard when it truely matters.

If Supportive Steps can do absolutely anything for you, it is to show up when it counts, to advocate and to support you through your best and worst days.

Guess who?! Finally Facebook offical🤍

Ali has been a massive part of supportive steps the last few months, with minimal capacity to take on new participants we think it’s only right to still introduce her to you all!

Ali is also one of our most experienced staff members and brings a world of value and passion to her role, with Ali’s personal commitments she supports participants only in Mitchel Shire suburbs. Keep this friendly face in mind when you’re in need of a support worker 🥰

Steph is one of our newest and most experienced staff members joining Supportive Steps!

We can’t wait to see how much of an asset she is to our team and to get her out in the community supporting our participants, Steph prefers but is not limited to northern suburbs of Melbourne and prefers longer hours, so far Steph has blown us away with her level of support she offers to participants and her team members.

Yesterday we attended the Bundalong rodeo with Supportive Steps very first participant!

Holly was 15 when we first met and to say 4 years later she has grown in the most remarkable ways is an understatement.

Holly now works full time for Victoria FRV as a fitter and turner. During the bush fires over the past few weeks emergency services have been on the front line and helping communities rebuild.
Bundalong rodeo held a service tribute to honour the emergency service hero’s and we were lucky enough to support her through this.

(The rodeo was pretty cool too!)🐮🤠

Little treasure close to home today!

What a privilege it is to watch these little eyes light up, to know that the little moments matter and the world is full of beautiful things.

We value the small, quiet and genuine moments of this role, it’s just an added bonus we get to be apart of it along the way.

Yesterday we held our very first Christmas party/group event for our participants! Although we didn’t get the turn out we had hoped for the kids had an absolute ball!

To stand up and genuinely say thank you to everyone who supported us this year was heartwarming. The gratitude I have for my staff, our participants, family’s and support network can’t be put into words. I truely can’t wait to see what next year holds for us all - we are currently taking on new participants ready for the start of next year! Be sure to get in touch so we can book you all in.
