Pancare Foundation

Pancare Foundation The Pancare Foundation was established to increase survival rates of people affected by pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers.

The Pancare Foundation is a national not-for-profit organisation, established in 2011. With more Australians dying of pancreatic and liver cancer each year than breast or prostate, the Pancare Foundation was established as a way of increasing awareness, research and support for those affected by pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers. When a patient is diagnosed with cancer it

impacts on the whole family and the community in which they live. The Pancare Foundation not only focuses on expediting scientific progress but also the delivery of programs that are designed to address individual and changing patient needs, from the point of diagnosis through to recovery and bereavement. Together we can take up the challenge; together we can be part of the crusade to find a cure.

We're so thankful for all our dedicated supporters who run for a cause.

Your actions are helping to shape a brighter future for people diagnosed with an upper GI cancer, and for their loved ones too 🩵

We'd like to shout out team How Good Is Jules and in particular, twins Alice and Lucy who are fundraising for Pancare in memory of Jules Jefferis, who sadly lost his battle to pancreatic cancer.

Alice and Lucy are amazing advocates, and they're also setting out to break a Guinness World record for running a marathon as identical twins!

Head over to their fundraising pages to support their cause and show your love to team How Good Is Jules!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Festival of Sports business lunch last week! ✨

Together we raised over $400k in the fight against upper GI cancers! Thanks to your support, 11-year-old Eleanor Carfrae also raised over $23,000 at the event in honour of her late uncle Matt, bringing her overall fundraising total close to $46,000 🩵

Thank you to our 600 guests for your outstanding generosity and enthusiasm, which helped create a truly unforgettable day.

Your support will help fund critical support services, research and advocacy for upper gastrointestinal (GI) cancers - now responsible for almost 1 in 5 cancer-related deaths in Australia.

There were great laughs, fun activations and also some heartwarming moments at the event. It was a day to remember, and we also thank of our sponsors, partners, staff and volunteers who brought the day to life.

If you'd like to help Eleanor reach her $50k goal, you can find her donate page here: https://fundraise.pancare.org.au/e-carfrae

Dry July is only one month away!

Last year we raised $90k to develop My Care Kits for patients, and the impact has been phenomenal.

This year we want to do it again - but this time we'll be creating a My Care Kit for carers.

Carers play a vital yet often under‑recognised role, and our research highlights significant gaps in available practical and emotional support.

Our new My Care Kits will provide specialised carer information on upper gastrointestinal (GI) cancer diagnosis and treatment; diet and nutrition; managing symptoms; accessing support; and managing mental wellbeing.

Go Dry for Upper GI and help us give carers the support they need on their cancer journey 💙
