Success with reading, writing or following instructions isn't always a matter of trying harder.
Some kids find it hard to keep up with what's happening in the classroom, even when they're trying their best.
Speech pathology looks at oral language and literacy skills, including reading and writing. It supports understanding instructions, building vocabulary and putting thoughts into words.
Support at the right time can make school feel more manageable, for the child and the whole family.
That’s also the thinking behind our Steps to Prep program, which supports children to build communication and school-readiness skills.
This Speech Pathology Week, we're celebrating the ways communication creates possibility to learn.
