🚨 HELP SAVE LIVES AND WIN A PRIZE 🚨

It's been an intense weekend and it's not a sunday sesh that has our head pounding right now. In the last 24 hours alone we’ve racked up a whopping $4,500 in emergency vet bills 😫

Right now Dan, a beautiful 5-year-old black and white gentleman is in excruciating pain with a urinary blockage and needs urgent surgery costing around $3,000. This isn’t something that can wait. Anyone who’s seen a cat with a blockage knows how awful and painful it is and Dan deserves relief and the chance to recover and go on to live a happy, comfortable life with a family of his own.

This came straight after another heartbreak. Just over a week ago, Alice the rabbit lost her bonded mate. Yesterday she wasn’t herself and we rushed her to emergency. Despite staying overnight and doing everything we could, she passed away this morning. We’re completely heartbroken and left with a $1,400 emergency bill on top of the grief.

January has been really quiet for adoptions and we know we’re not the only rescue feeling this. On top of that, we’ve taken in nearly 100 cats in the last month alone. We won’t lie, it’s a lot. If our bank account could make a noise, it would be howling right now.

We know everyone is doing it tough right now. New year, cost of living, interest rates. We get it. So instead of just asking for help, we’ve decided to try a different approach and see what we can give back.
