Introducing Dr Yota Yoshimitsu!

Born in Japan, Dr Yota grew up in Melbourne and is fluent in both English and Japanese. He was an optometrist for over 10 years before deciding it would be cool to treat more than just eyes! He studied Medicine at Deakin University, and completed medical and specialist GP training in Geelong and South West Victoria. He has practiced in Hamilton and Heywood, and currently practices in both Geelong and Melbourne.

Dr Yota believes you deserve the best care possible through all stages of your life. He enjoys taking care of your whole family from newborn bubs to Nan and Pop. You will love Dr Yota for his warmth and friendliness, and of course, his thoughtful and thorough medical care. He seeks to build a long-term therapeutic relationship with you.

Outside of medicine, he plays the viola in various orchestras including Corpus Medicorum and the Geelong Symphony Orchestra.

Dr Zara Latif has worked in the medical field for over 14 years.

Dr Zara believes in building strong relationships with her patients to provide them with long-term continuity and a model of care that focuses on preventative health.

She has special interests in paediatrics, women’s health, pregnancy management, geriatrics, chronic disease management, accident and emergency care, and minor surgical procedures. In addition, Dr Zara has garnered extensive experience in, family planning, sexual health, cervical screening and Implanon insertions and removals.
