48 hours in Adelaide for an annual weekend with my dear mate Kerry. This weekend is booked a year in advance every year, to ensure we remain committed amidst life’s other responsibilities. I hopped on the plane overstressed and under slept after a difficult week - but there are few more comforting salves than time spent with a good friend. Thank you Kerry Rowett - Business Strategist + Energetics Mentor 😘
Also, it remains impossible to free myself from the eternal “Eastern Rosellas” loop 👆🏻
A couples massage kicked off our Saturday, followed by a sauna. My masseuse asked how often I’m having massages, commenting on my left hamstring, my right thigh & glute. I let her know I spend quite a bit of time on a bike and promised to get regular massages in the diary. To avoid further training growing pains I hereby commit to monthly massages, if I must 😉😬
At the time I didn’t fully comprehend just how important this grounding, relaxing morning would be, given the next task at hand on our Adelaide adventure …
…jeans shopping 🤯 17 pairs later, multiple shops. What looks fab on you doesn’t necessarily look fab on me, and visa versa - so no amount of recommendations helps in the endeavour. What a mission. Rarely do we feel more aware of our aging, changing bodies.
Grateful for my emotional support person to help temper the frustration and provide honest feedback. We got there, in the end.
…straight back to where I usually end up, with Rolla's Jeans - barrel. Now the only style of jeans I own. Think it’ll be many years before I’m prepared for this experience again. Glad to have a challenging box ticked! 😂
All dressed up, ready to dine 😋
Bar Sofia BAR SOFIA delivered the goods. Just loved it. Here the most scrumptious halloumi with honey & pear 🍐
I said to the delightful waiter “if you had to order one thing, what would it be?” He replied “oh that’s so hard.” I replied, “pretend I have a gun to your head.” He said “oh the taramasalata for sure!” Now that wasn’t so hard was it 😆 Far OUT it was good, with bread straight out of their wood fire oven.
Sunday brunch at Exchange Coffee - always excellent. Coffee especially excellent.
All I see here is “Eastern Rosellas.” Say it out loud and
