Something I wish someone had told me to pass on to clients sooner.

Healing does not always feel like progress while it is happening. Sometimes it feels like nothing is working. Or like things are getting harder before they get easier.

That is not a sign to stop. It is usually a sign that something real is moving.

A lot of people come to me worried that a session will mean going back through everything.

Reliving it. Having to explain it in detail. Sitting in it again.

That is not how I work. And it is not what healing requires.

You do not need to fully excavate a wound to release it. The body already knows what it is carrying. My job is to help create the conditions where it feels safe enough to let go.

There is a particular kind of frustration that comes when you are genuinely trying.

You are showing up. You are doing the sessions, the journaling, the breathwork.

You understand more about yourself than you ever have. And still, something feels stuck.

I want to talk about this honestly, because I think it stops a lot of women from continuing.

Being stuck is not evidence that healing is not happening. Sometimes it is evidence that you are right in the middle of it.

We have been taught, in so many ways, that rest is something you earn.

That you have to be productive enough, useful enough, depleted enough to deserve a break.

I work with a lot of people who carry this belief deep in their nervous system. And it shows up not just as busyness, but as guilt. As an inability to be still without that low-level hum of: I should be doing something.

Rest is not a reward. It is a biological need. And learning to receive it without negotiating for it first is, for many people, a genuine part of healing.

Energy healing is probably the part of my work that people are most curious about, and most uncertain about.

Which is fair. It is harder to explain than hypnotherapy or EFT because it works at a level that is not always visible or immediately logical.

But I have been doing this for over 20 years, and what I have witnessed in sessions, in my clients and in myself, is real and it is consistent.

So let me try to describe it as honestly as I can.

A lot of people tell me they are curious about hypnotherapy but nervous about what it actually involves.

So I wanted to walk you through it plainly, with nothing hidden.

Hypnotherapy is not what you see in the movies. There is no swinging watch. You are fully aware throughout. You stay in complete control from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.

What it actually is, is a deeply relaxed state where your subconscious becomes more open to gentle, positive change. That is where the real work happens.

But the body keeps its own account. And sometimes what the mind has filed away as normal, the nervous system is still very much responding to.
