IT TAKES A VILLAGE.
There are the kinds of people who will look in your cup to see if you have more than them… there are also the kinds of people who will look in your cup to see if you need more.
There’s a difference.
In my 33 years of being in this wonderful industry, 24 of those owning and operating premium Melbourne hair salons, my radar for the latter is fu***ng alive and alert. 💥
education is one of them. When we crossed paths all those moons ago, one of us had realised that salon ownership wasn’t for them and the other was fighting to keep an extremely new business moving forward through the insane challenges of a global pandemic. To say that both of our cups needed more of something is an understatement.
And here we are, 18 months later. One is about to launch her newish business full throttle into 2026, the year of the horse, giddy up 😜 and the other has just had an unprecedented amount of growth since launching and
It takes a village to raise children and it also takes a village to grow and scale a business and you have been such an important member of our work village for the last 18 months, Lou and I will be forever grateful for it all. The chats, the honesty, the shoulder to lean on, the chewing the fat, the ideas…the innovation.
We have all achieved so much over the last 18 months and we wanted to acknowledge how proud and excited we are for you to be moving into the next phase of your journey. You are a passionate, talented, driven, kick ass educator and are exactly what our industry needs more of.
We can’t wait to saddle up and continue working alongside you as part of our Salon education team into 2026. Our team is so lucky to have you guiding the way and giving them all the things they need to be the best hairstylist possible. We have watched you slow down, re-charge and reignite the passion you have for education and for our industry with clarity and purpose and we know that you are ready to fire!
