We’re often asked what makes Planet Possible different from the rest. The answer is simple: we aren’t a “shell” company. 🏠✨ We didn’t start this service to follow a trend or fill a gap in a market. We built Planet Possible from the ground up because we needed it for our own family members. We created the space, the care, and the community that we couldn’t find anywhere else. 🧡 When you join us, you’re not just a number on a list. You are part of a family-founded legacy. Because we’ve lived the journey ourselves, we know that stability, heart, and genuine connection aren’t just “nice-to-haves”: they’re everything. We are so proud to be a stable, soulful home away from home for our participants. Weekend adventures hit different when every fun moment double-dips as a big life win! 🦁 ✨

What looks like a simple day at the zoo is actually big-time skill building in action for our incredible young adventurers. Being away from home and familiar routines takes real courage, but they nailed it!

During our Respite getaway, every step through the gates was a chance to practice essential life skills:

🦒 Navigating the public: Mastering personal space, respecting boundaries, and finding safe spaces in a bustling crowd.

🎟️ Patience & social cues: Practice makes perfect when it comes to waiting in lines and reading the room.

🍃 Sensory connection: Soaking in all the sights, sounds, and textures that a day out in nature has to offer.

🧠 Emotional regulation: Learning to manage big feelings in new environments—all while having a total blast!

Huge kudos to our young explorers for stepping out of their comfort zones and making huge strides toward independence. We couldn’t be prouder! 💙

We are absolutely thrilled to introduce the newest member of our family: Gigi, a rare Mini Mediterranean Donkey!

Gigi is not just a pretty face—she is here to bring big joy, comfort, and connection to our community, especially our NDIS participants.

✨ Why Gigi is So Special (And Rare!)
Did you know that Mini & Micro Mediterranean donkeys are incredibly rare in Australia? Originally hailing from the islands of Sicily and Sardinia, these gorgeous animals were historically used to turn grindstones and carry water. Because of their small stature and incredibly gentle nature, they quickly transitioned from working animals to beloved companions. Today, seeing a true Mini Mediterranean donkey in Australia is a unique treat!

❤️ The Ultimate Emotional Support Companions
Donkeys have a rich history of being outstanding emotional support animals. Unlike horses, which can sometimes be flighty, donkeys have a natural “freeze and process” instinct. They are famous for being:
Intuitive & Empathetic: Donkeys can mirror human emotions and often gravitate toward those who need comfort the most.
Calm & Patient: Their slow, deliberate movements create a safe, low-stress environment for individuals with sensory sensitivities or anxiety.

Natural Grounders: Sitting with a donkey like Gigi, brushing her coat, or just feeling her calm presence is an incredibly grounding experience.

🌟 Gigi’s Role with Our NDIS Participants
For our NDIS participants, Gigi offers a unique form of animal-assisted connection. Spending time with her can help build confidence, improve communication, develop fine motor skills through grooming, and offer a peaceful space for emotional regulation. She doesn’t care about diagnoses or barriers—she just cares about connection (and maybe a scratch behind the ears!).

Pippa brings such a soulful and empowering energy to our community. Her heart is in neurodiversity-affirming care: creating a safe, nurturing space for unmasking and building authentic connections. She believes therapy should feel like a game, not a workout, using an interest-based approach that truly captures what lights our participants up! 🌈

And the best part? She’s joined by her amazing co-pilot and therapy dog, Zeena! 🐾 Together, they are helping participants regulate, grow, and find their sparkle in the most joyful way possible.

We are beyond excited to officially introduce you to our sister company, Planet Ability! 💫 As a family-founded team, we know that finding the right support is everything. That’s why we’ve grown our “dream team” to include specialised Occupational Therapy that’s as soulful and vibrant as the participants we serve.

Based on a stunning 2.5-acre clinic in Warrandyte, they support legends aged 2 to 35 with a range of therapeutic goals. And the best part? They have a dedicated therapy dog program 🐾

Whether it’s building independence or finding new ways to navigate the world, the Planet Ability team brings the same level of care, heart, and “good human” energy that you know and love here at Planet Possible.
