Would you have guessed this started life as a pool noodle? 😂🩸
A little behind the scenes from some recent Paramedic training.

Using a pool noodle, oxygen tubing and plenty of fake blood, we created a simulated amputated limb to practise managing catastrophic bleeding and traumatic amputation.

It might not look pretty, but simple training aids like this can make scenarios far more realistic — and give clinicians the opportunity to practise skills before they're needed in the real world.
