Makom Meditation Hybrid (formerly Mindfulness)

Makom is the Hebrew word for “place” and can refer to a specific geographical location, a sacred site or a metaphorical space.

Facilitated by Allison this practice follows a mindfulness flow but with a holistic approach to inhabiting the “place” of being present to ourselves, our environment and to Divine Love. It incorporates various techniques including breathwork, vagus nerve toning, mindfulness and visualizations to bring a form of peacefulness to our “being”.

The practice begins and ends with some gentle vagus nerve release and includes breathwork, body scans, mind calming components and is suitable for both beginners and experienced meditators alike.

All of The Third Space meditations are based on a Hebraic philosophy of “shalom” – a Hebrew word for peace. Shalom peace is a holistic and incorporates the body, soul, spirit and mind. Each form of meditation incorporates different aspects of shalom with our motivation for meditating being finding these different aspects.
