Pea shakshuka that stops you in your tracks.

Look at that colour. Vibrant green pea purée, a perfectly soft egg, crunchy bacon dust and a tangle of fresh mixed sprouts. This is the kind of breakfast that makes you feel alive before you have even picked up your fork.

I gave this one my own twist. No sugar snap peas this time, so I folded through beautiful organic mixed sprouts and cooked the peas in homemade bone broth instead of water for an extra layer of nourishment and depth. The eggs were the freshly laid stars of the show, thanks to WillowZen - The Art of Farming picked up this weekend🍳

Want eggs and produce this good? Get yourself to Kingston Farmers Market, first Saturday of every month in Moorabbin. Your tastebuds will thank you.

Most people spend their whole life not knowing their body has a built in off switch for stress.

When I started learning Qigong it changed everything.

There is a nerve that runs from your brainstem through your heart, your lungs and physically through your diaphragm. It is called the vagus nerve. And every slow, intentional, deep belly breath you take activates it mechanically.

That calm you feel after a few deep breaths is not your imagination. It is your nervous system receiving the signal that it is safe to come home.

Every Wednesday at 9am AEST I teach a live online Qigong class on Zoom.
No experience needed. Just show up as you are.

✨Qigong works on every level✨

Physically it improves circulation, flexibility and reduces chronic pain.

Mentally it calms the nervous system and clears brain fog.

Emotionally it helps you process and release what you have been carrying for far too long.

It is one of the most complete and powerful practices I discovered on my own healing journey.

Join me live every Wednesday morning on Zoom.

If you are a woman who is tired of feeling tired, this class was built for you.

Your first class is FREE.

Want to know more? Type DOJO in the comments and I will send you everything you need to get started personally.

See you in the dojo.

Food for Thought Thursday💫

Grateful for this life.
For this body.
For this soul.
Not all the stuff,just this.

This clip encapsulates all that is important💛
Gratitude without action is just a feeling. Gratitude in motion is a life transformed.

What is one small thing you could change today to honour the body and soul you are grateful for?
A breath.
A moment of stillness.
A gentle movement that reminds you that you are worth showing up for.

That is what Wednesday mornings are all about in Jo’s Qigong Capers. No pressure. Just you, coming home to yourself.

If you are curious, drop PRESENT MOMENT in the comments below and I will send you the link.

This one is for those who keep going.
I found Qigong when I needed it most have never looked back and knows firsthand what it feels like when life stops you in your tracks.
After spinal surgery then years of chronic pain then in 2021 a tendon implant and a re-injury in 2024 I could have stayed down. Instead I came back to the mat. Every single day.

Qigong is what gave me that. Not by fixing everything. But by giving me back mobility, settling my nervous system and creating enough space between a hard moment and my reaction to it that I stopped feeling like a victim of my own circumstances.
I still have hard days and work through pain and setbacks. But my consistent practice means I face those days with more steadiness, more strength and more grace.

This movement is called Leaf Blowing in the Breeze. Simple flowing figure eight movements that support energy circulation, shoulder mobility, calm. It meets your body exactly where it is.
No experience needed. No perfect body required. Just you showing up for yourself.

Come and join me Wednesdays 9am AEST on Zoom.
First class is FREE.
