As part of their curriculum, our Clay Ed students were given the opportunity to wood fire alongside the expert team at Montsalvat in Eltham. They experienced the full process, from loading the kiln to tending the fire and unpacking the results learning firsthand how flame and ash interact with clay to create unique surfaces.

A valuable, hands-on experience that deepened their understanding of ceramics beyond the studio. If you’re keen to learn more, enquire about our Clay-Ed courses via link in bio.

A thank you to the hands that keep Warrandyte Pottery moving. Beyond the classes and the making, there’s a small team who keep the studio running. Maintaining the space, operating the kilns, building extensions, tidying up and managing the day-to-day. Their work happens quietly in the background, but it’s what allows the studio to stay open, safe and welcoming for everyone who walks through the door.
Gabie, Drew, Molly, Vanessa, Sharon and all our wonderful teachers, students and members – thank you.

More than clay, more than kilns — this studio is a community.

From early-morning wheel sessions to late-night handbuilding marathons, our members and students fill the Warrandyte Pottery studio with creativity, conversation, and the kind of quiet focus that only clay can bring.

Whether you’re here for term classes, studio access, or simply the chance to make in good company, you’re part of what makes this space special. 💛

A little look at our members making the most of private studio access. Our membership program offers dedicated time and space to work independently, with access to the studio, equipment and glazes. It’s a chance to slow down, stay with a project and keep your practice moving between classes and workshops.
