🗣️ Sometimes the argument isn’t really about the phone, the homework, the attitude, or the slammed door.
Often, underneath the frustration is an emotion that hasn’t quite found the words yet. 😶
❌ Emotion coaching isn’t about agreeing with every behaviour or removing boundaries. It’s about helping young people recognise what they’re feeling, feel understood, and learn how to respond to those emotions more effectively.
✅ The goal isn’t to eliminate conflict.
It’s to make conflict feel safer, more understandable, and more connected.
