Lymphoedema, a life-long distressing condition that affects people of all ages - from birth to old age. It is a progressive chronic disorder of the lymphatic system and if not treated early, the onset of lymphoedema can lead to regular hospitalisation due to infections and have distressing, ongoing effects on both the physical and emotional wellbeing of patients. ation (ALA) is the peak professional organisation promoting best practice in lymphoedema management, research and education in Australia and is committed to promoting the development of lymphology in Australasia. Our vision is to make a difference in all aspects of lymphology. We strive to improve the management of those with, or at risk of developing lymphoedema and enhance communication between health professionals, educators, relevant authorities and government in regard to oedemas and lymphoedema. Breakfast Sessions will be held across the ALA 2026 Conference on Friday 1 May, Saturday 2 May and Sunday 3 May.

These sessions are offered in addition to the main conference program and provide an opportunity to start each day with focused learning and discussion alongside industry partners.

Breakfast Sessions are complimentary to conference delegates but places are limited and must be selected during the registration process.

Introducing Rebecca Elwell, Invited Speaker for the ALA 2026 Conference.

With over 25 years’ experience across community, cancer/palliative care and hospital settings, Rebecca is a recognised leader in lymphoedema nursing. The former Lymphoedema Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Team Leader at UHNM, she continues to shape the field through her roles with the British Lymphology Society, her editorial work, and her extensive publications.
